Dynamite bounces

Skill issue?

But grenades do not bounce from the walls. Why?

May be, I think it is because the wall does not have the Soviet pride of Sloped armour on it.

I think the real reason is that dynamite bundle is known to be one of hardest materials known to man comparable to diamonds in rockwell scale.
So obviously it bounces when 2 hardest materials meet each other, stalinium & dynamite bundle.
While not exactly relatable to subject its worth mentioning to understand simple phYSiCs.
Tank HE for example rarely if ever detonates from impact to wooden walls obviously as they are soft material.
While direct hit to solid as rock infantry does detonate the HE.

The planet Enlisted seems to be governed by different physical laws than Earth.

Yes, planet earth physics are wrong.

If I am not mistaken, dynamite has never bounced around like this before.
It seems like something is broken with every update…?

The development scene I imagine.

OR… it could just be coded that way. Just a thought…

definitely seemed like the player was too close when he released, obviously this was because the tank was moving and was difficult to judge when he would stop or if he would keep moving

ideally you do want the trajectory to be on the way down to land on the flat back bit behind the turret with less chance of it bouncing from the falling trajectory if it lands at the right spot, which needs to be in that pocket just behind the turret that’s flat, sometimes it can bounce off the back of the turret back down to the flat spot, and that’s ok too

the issue in the video is that the throw was still on the climbing part of trajectory and it hit the sloped back end which acted as deflection, so that is why it bounced

also the detonation was not timed perfectly, otherwise it would have exploded at close to the impact site either slightly early, or soon after the bounce still close to the vehicle

This is what it looked like before the update.

It’s a german tank = it doesn’t bounce.
Only soviet do.
Glory to Mother Russia!

Sloped armour on the T34 is great …

New sekrit Soviet reactive bouncing armour.

No spoiled sekrit, or gulag for you!

definitely the difference there is the angle of the surface it hit

in the first video it hit a very angled sloped surface and slid right off as it went with momentum

the second video it basically gets caught against the vertical wall and drops perfectly, which is what you want

two totally different examples in the videos, both are situations that happened before and after the update

therefore this isn’t anything new to me

This bouncing thing is so true. I just played 4 maps and all my det packs bounced off the tank no matter where it landed :-1:

just went into practice to test this, works exactly as before with the Tiger exactly as the 2nd video, hits the flat surface, drops perfectly on top

then went and did it on the training against the sloped back of the t34 and it slid right off just like the first video, went flying over the top exactly as per the video

just have to watch your throws, don’t be throwing them at angled surfaces like that

I then held it longer (cooked it) against the T34 and dropped it perfectly on top by allowing it to detonate once it comes on the downward trajectory to land on top, takes skill, very hard to do against a moving tank, especially a t34 with all that angled armor

but you can land it on the flat top on the backend

I’ve had bounces like this for quite a while now. Angled surfaces bounce more, but all do to some degree. This is why it’s really important to time the detonation right. I also get better results, when throwing from maximum distance. Close throws like this are always bouncing more. If I am that close, I prefer to throw at the tracks.

why does everyone talk about detpacks bouncing off soviet tanks, but not other ones?
i’ve witnessed detpacks bouncing off Grant and Pz.III series as well

What kills me (literally) about thrown tnt isn’t the tanks themselves… But those evil trees and their bizzare hit boxes.

How many times did I threw just to see my pack stopped in mid air by invisible branches near a tree, to fall down at my feet 1 second after…

Worst thing is, after the tnt pack (and myself) explodes, those nasty evil trees still stand to taunt my bloody pulp.

yes have experienced this before, even with nothing there, no tree, no branches, but the explosive is blocked by invisible wall in my face lol

might just be lag, it’s like when I empty an entire clip into a guy, see him bounce around like he is getting hit, but takes no damage, then might only take damage on the last 10 bullets other times, really messes with gameplay

this is why we would need servers in Aus/Nz
