Does the bayonet affect aiming speed or accuracy?
I really enjoy bayonet atm.
But should it be op for some point?
Does it making axe uselese?
Should we add some side effect that balance it?

There is no need to balance them. Bayonets are fine.

Axes still work really well for classes that lack bayonets on their guns like Assaulters/Gunners or when player uses rifles without the option to mount the bayonet.

Bayonets are ok right now in terms of ballance, although imo they need some changes (like charge in any form). Maybe then we could descuss possible downisdes.

Realistically bayonets would affect accuracy to a degree, however they shouldn’t reflect that in-game unless they also make the bayonets detachable like they are IRL so that you can mount/dismount bayonets depending on circumstance

They already have downsides. I unequip them on some soldiers.

They are: you cant break a rally point in 1 melee swing unlike with no bayonet.

You take a really long time to break windows with the bayonet

Your gun is longer, revealing your position more often

True. Although I’d say they are rather minor issues, at least for me. I destroy rallies by shooting them, I’m ok with opened windows instead of destroyed (unless I use LMG) and the last one I don’t even notice.
I preffer to have ability to ohk my enemy when I charge with my rifle.

All true, but I usually shoot from further back from the window to mitigate that last issue.

Yes they are minor, but they did get me killed a few times when trying to break a window with them and being exposed too long, got spotted - shot.

I didnt manage to destroy some rallys because i bayoneted them once and they didnt get destroyed and an enemy came.

You shoot at tge wrong moment and everyone knows where you are, enemy AI will immeadeately snap at you.

So i dont shoot windows but break them

No I mean when shooting enemy soldiers from inside a building. I don’t go right up to the window because it’s so much easier to be seen

You gotta get rid of the window first.

So if youre me who in moscow axis uses mostly K98k aka historically accurate setups meaning your first shot matters. And a window will slow the bullet down to not down or kill the enemy

Just great, the two of you would really kill the vibes in the bombed out house. Nowhere to sit, the window’s letting a draft in and now when that tank across the way sends a HE round in you’re going to die most uncomfortably :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I mean if you open it you cant shoot at a lot of angles still. Only infront. You can hardly shoot to the rught or left without your shot being blocked

Then waste one bullet and destroy it. Although I don’t know your typical ammo situation so maybe for you every bullet counts. I play mostly with LMGs and because of that I have wasting ammo habit even when I play with BA rifles.
