Okay, here’s the thing: I know that using a bolt action rifle is far more powerful than using semi-automatic/ automatic weapons (at least in Enlisted)
But how’s even possible that you’re shooting a guy with, let’s say the greaser gun, and this guy shoots back with a K-98k and kills you? The guy that is receiving damage from the SMG should have blurry vision and the aim should be as bad as shit. I do think you guys from Darkflow should change this.
Let’s not even mention the demi-gods you have programmed as bots… But that’s a different topic.
Nah, I’ve seen this fighting against people, and you might ask: how’d you know it was a person? Well, because of the behavior, also they didn’t kill me and they kept minding their own business
Because of two factors, both of which are artificial:
Semi-autos do less damage than bolt actions, even if they are chambered in the same round. Springfield and M1 Garand are both chambered in 30-06, yet the Garand magically does half the damage (While also being less accurate). I don’t like this, but I at least partially understand why they do it, they want to keep bolt actions relevant. Though in other realistic games bolt actions always stay relevant to an extent, so I don’t see the point.
Bullet dispersion, they have artificially reduced the accuracy of all automatic weapons. SMGs and LMGs for example act like they are smoothbores firing square bullets. It is downright abysmal, and I absolutely despise this mechanic with every fiber of my being. There is no good reason for this mechanic to ever exist in any game that isn’t an arcade Fortnite ripoff.
In fact, no matter how powerful the latch rifle is, it can only kill one soldier. However, in this game, players often encounter with multiple soldiers in a team. In this case, the limitation of latching rifles will be very great, and this will happen in most cases. I don’t think it’s a wise choice to choose the latch rifle as the main weapon.
