I’m coming from War Thunder where there are some bigger sales at least twice a year with -50% off of squads, premium time etc. Did anything like that ever happen in Enlisted before?
we don’t know, it’s only been 1 year since the game entered CBT but the true monezation didn’t happen until a few months later
yeah, there was a premium account sale just recently.
They had one for Normandy during the anniversary of D-Day. That’s the only one I’m aware of.
i got the premium for the year when it went on sale i think it was half off if im not mistaken
They had a premium time sale and a premium squad sale once.
Let’s see if something comes on December. I wouldn’t mind
My wallet will certainly open more if so. I have taken a renewed liking to premium squads now that they can at least reach 5 stars. Oooh Imagine the beauty of a premium squad where you could change class composition…
A sale for additional squad places would also be very welcome. I don’t know how you guys handle things but I find stuff in such games so overpriced (a single squad the price of an AAA game title) and am persistent enough that I only buy this additional quality of life stuff when they go on sale.
To be honest, prices are indeed steep. If I were perhaps 10 years younger I’d probably stay away of most purchases. I’m able to buy whatever I want nowadays thanks to a good job and good life choices, but I’m aware not everyone are in the same situation… As for the reason all those are so pricey, I have no idea. I don’t understand their business models, as I’m certain that if they slashed but even just 20% off everything, that they would sell much, MUCH more content and end up making more money. There might be variables we are not aware off here, maybe they want to limit some premium squads as to not break balance were they too numerous, maybe they sell enough already… I know the is notoriously good at selling stuff (look at WT). Not EA good (yuck, even writing it gives me nausea), but real good at it nonetheless.
I’m in a similar situation like you but cannot help to compare the value of e.g. a single premium squad to the value you would get from an hyped AAA game of similar price. Maybe my mindset is to blame and has to change to modern business models. And after all this hasn’t reached Star Citizen levels but considering that all of this can simply disappear next year if the product isn’t successful enough to last I find that Gaijin asks for a lot of money with premium, BP, premium squads, squad places, shortcuts etc.
I actually wonder if the discount prices are what companies calculate with (considering they are so common) and all those who buy at “normal” price just represent an additional extra for being impatient.
It actually came true. There’s currently the first -50% birthday sale happening!
