Hello everyone! My name is Joshua and I have been a fan of War Thunder for many years and now am obsessed with this little game “Enlisted”. Honestly the most fun I have had since I can remember. I am a veteran and suffer from post traumatic stress disorder. I would rather not go into the details of it at this time.
I used to self medicate with alcohol, drink myself half to death every night and play war games to relax, which sounds ironic to people who have never experienced real trauma. I always ate my dinner and watched PhlyDaily videos after work and loved how upbeat and nice he was, how he just had fun playing the game we both loved.
The difference being that I would get drunk, play my war games and be a complete A** to my team. It wasn’t good for anyone involved. I never engaged with the community that I was a part of in a positive way. So I made a new account and am now devoting some time to hopefully inspire others like me to give up the self medication and just enjoy the healthy things in life that make us happy… like video games. I love this game and want to see it become something bigger than FortNite, but if our community becomes known for being toxic, like I was in the past then the games numbers will suffer. No one likes playing with toxic team mates.
So I started a Youtube channel for the purpose of demonstrating of why being a team player is important and why treating others with respect is important in a team based game. I am still figuring out my “Style” and would appreciate any feedback on how to help make sure we have less A holes like myself in this game that we all love!

Thank you for your incredibly honest and detailed introduction.
I’m really glad you’ve been able to acknowledge and work on your gaming mentality, and are now passionate about encouraging teamwork and making the game as much fun as possible by working together.
Team work and co-operation is a huge part of Enlisted, especially as spawn beacons often decide the outcome of a match (or at least the frustration levels of it).
So if you’re able to encourage just a few more people to work together, to help everyone win, that will be a brilliant achievement.

I hate streamers first and foremost because they play like scum and they encourage the entire community to play like one massive shit filled sludge pit.
So if you’re doing the opposite of that and trying to encourage proper teamwork and gameplay that isn’t tryhard cheese shit.

Thank you for the encouragement. I know and understand that it will take time for this community to trust my intent, let alone see any of my videos. But I believe being honest about my own faults as a human being is the only way to get that sort of message across. My methods are certainly going to be strange to most…

Please I ask you to check out my content especially the video entitled “No one likes artillery” Because in that video I basically play a “streamer” and talk sh*t the entire time and make hot dog plays with my premium squad. It is meant to be satire… to ppoke fun at people who make that sort of content.
In other videos I demonstrate why teamwork is important either through my own incompetence or actual demonstration of game mechanics. I just do so with a “court jester” hat on so maybe just MAYBE the younger generation will watch long enough to see and understand why we need to work together as a team.
