Yes, I do grind one faction one one map to farm better weapons, upgrades and what-else. Occasionally I get Missions which prompt me to do other stuff, but that is seldom.
Yes, I am free to adjust this myself by just playing other campaigns and factions. But I do not get the incentive to do so from the way the Missions are given so I stick to what I do now. I do not think I am very special in this behavior, so a change would be welcome.
I suggest that you each day get missions for all factions and all campaigns each day, but campaign and faction specific in order to spread out the grind.
The number of missions can still be 3 for each campaign/faction. If it would lead to inflation, then go for 2 or just 1, or lower the reward for each mission or increase the number of stars for unlocking things. It i easily adjusted in a variety of ways.
Yes, I have no interest in doing other campaigns, unless they pick something VERY different, or do something clever that nobody has done before. Like a campaign from D-Day to Berlin, set over the course of dozens and dozens of maps. Some thing done like, if your ‘main’ squad enters it and at least one person never dies then you can progress to the next map. It would completely change the way people playing. Dying wouldn’t just be annoying and not matter, you’d actually try and stay alive and it be important! Playing would become far more realistic… something which the game says it is. Then allows planes to fly into people over just to kill them.
I try to keep all armies in each campaign equal. If I level up one, I will start playing the other to keep up. Just unlocked JU188 in Normandy so now I have to grind for the A-20 on Allies.
With exception of Berlin (because screw Berlin), I level up all nations in all campaigns (hopefully Tunisia will not end up botched so I can play it too)
I fully leveled all normandy axis campaign
Then I fully leveled axis in berlin (all squads maxed out , all soldiers level 5, weapons and vehicles fully upgraded.
Right now I m on level 25 or so in normandy allied. I intend to finish it this weekend.
Next I ill fully level up both Tunisia sides (all squads, soldiers maxed level and weapons.).
I don’t enjoy Moscow, even tho I prepared it with some premium squads and 10 slots for, hopefully one day I grind it. But I m not that interested in it right now.
Berlin axis, is by far my favorite campaign to play.
Alied on normandy was by far the most fun and win rate I have ever had.
Axis normandy, I don’t rememeber I don’t play with them for months now…
Just play what ever you want, what ever faction you want or campaign. I try to level them all so when more levels are added, I get them right away. But you do you, as long as you have fun, there is more in this game besides fully completing a campaign
I want to be on a position i m able to get all the game gear, once they deliver them. So, I try to grind all factions on all campaigns, so I can enjoy the game fully.
With that, I also spend Alot of money, getting all slots avaiable, all premium squads and what ever.
I want everything… That might sound like a problem, but for me, it’s what I m after.
It is not so much about justification (as this is about opinions), as about fining a reward system which does not take away the fun from some but just increase it for others. I do not see that faction/campaign specific rewards would take away the game experience for those who already move around much between maps/factions. But it would be more of an encouragement to move around too, for those who rather stay on one map/faction as they do not see the benefit of moving around. YMMV, but we are some who are in the latter camp.
I have a system where I play a faction/nation until I win at least two games, then change to the other nation and continue on, usually it means both armies are relatively equal. For nomenday both nations have more or less the same gear, saldy I’ve been stuck playing germany on Berlin campaign for the last 40 games with 0 wins so far.
