It is true that Germany did attempt to share their technology with Japan. Japan bought a Tiger I and Stgs, Germany gave them research to produce their own jets, etc
I am not entirely against giving Japan German tech. Its just like the Soviets having some allied equipment. Of coarse the Soviets actually did receive and use their supplies while Japan’s Tiger literally couldn’t be shipped and was recommissioned by the Germans anyway, but still it was technically shared.
However I think German tech should NOT be added to the Japanese RT. It is more fitting that German tech is RARE and SPECIAL. The Japanese faction should be Japanese. If German tech is added straight into the RT the entire Japanese faction is going to be using Stgs, Panzerschrecks, and Tigers EVERYWHEREE
German tech should be unique, rare, and special. They can be event rewards, box prizes, and even premium content.
Instead of giving Japan a Panzerschreck, give their own AT launcher. An experimental Type 4 90mm launcher
The Panzerschreck can still be given to Japan BUT it should instead be an Event reward. Heck with the next update you could throw an event with the Panzerschreck as a prize as a consolation
Agree. would like to see it, too. But it has no high penetration values - was capable to go through 120mm armor on a distance of 100m. I suggested it 7 months ago and also a high BR mortar for japan with a separate post.
The notes on the update suggest they’re possibly changing the br queues to keep 3 away from br5. So if they change it to 3 and 4 having their own queue then it wouldn’t matter. So adding the 90mm type 4 would still be better off than to add another panzerschrek to Japan. As I’ve saw some people say on the forum. Each faction is supposed to be unique, and I agree.
The majority of Tank destroy’s big stake is in infantry AT.

High penetration and high projectile speed make this possible.
Even if it changes that way, the problem still remains.
Giving each faction something unique is only possible when there is no problem in terms of balance.

Fair point. Though the Japanese cannon can be switched out for the type 89 15cm. Since the Japanese don’t have a good cannon. Than engineer squads and AT squads should be able to be build the 150mm gun to make up for it.

There are few options.
If it’s not Ofenrohr, there’s only M9A1 with a T59 Rocket. (US weapon, captured)
But more plausible is Ofenrohr.
The same is true of the Soviet, but if allow it like the Su-9, the RPG-2 is possible. (200mm pen)
Makes more sense for the Japanese to be getting something that’s captured from the US than for them to get the ofenrohrs which were never even borrowed at all.
I was trying to look it up and some research suggests the Japanese happened to capture m1 and m9 bazookas to make their own inspired from both variants

Yeah so that’s the super bazooka that wasn’t introduced/used until the Korean War. But they’d still be able to get away with giving the japs the normal m9 as it’s already able to take out king tigers.
To be precise, T59 is not the shell of the M20.

The shell penetration in the war was only 127 mm, and the 280 mm penetration we know was completed during the Korean War.
And by the way, 280mm penetration is too high, so I think it’s suitable for BR5~6
It will be very easy to pierce anywhere from any angle. (too OP for BR4~5)
Yeah. Not that it’d be of the time frame in ww2 either. In which case a captured m9 would be the most accurate(not the most accurate) and effective in t3 to give to Japan.
But its true, Japan bought or was intended to receive Stgs, Panzer IIIs, Panther, Tiger, Panzerfauts, and some planes. If the devs follow through the Panzerschreck in RT its likely they will do the same to others. There have been some here who’ve asked to give them the Stg and Tiger in RT
