I don’t know how much penetration artillery has on buildings, but I can tell you that plane bombs can’t hardly penetrate a Horse stable roof, which is quite pathetic

Well, I still got OHK by it with my Tiger 1. This was even before rocket artillery was a thing.

I made at least 6 or 7 unmolested attack runs with my Stuka on a Russian Horse Stable about a week ago and netted only 20 kills. My guess was that those 20 kills were people who were outside. I know Rzhev, the big church or what ever building it is along the river. Both sides were basically going through basement doors on either end of the building and fighting in the basement, but I lost my first three squads from an enemy tank that was on the far side of the building about a hundred meters on that riverside dirt road basically shooting through the entire building. :face_with_raised_eyebrow: In theory, if I drop 250 lbs bombs on a one story building, I should be killing just about everyone in the building. :joy: Of course in real life the whole building would be reduced to rubble. :yum:

I’ve only destroyed open top tanks and the occasional APC using artillery. However, using the 8cm German mortar I’ve destroyed quite a lot of tanks. I’ve seeing the shell fall right on the engine deck and make it explode. I love it, hopefully they haven’t changed it since the last time I played mortars. It’s not easy to aim tho, as you gotta calculate the fact that tanks will be driving backwards once the first shell hits. But I got pretty good at it. The other mortars I’ve tried don’t have the same accuracy or explosive impact.

I hope these anti-tank mortars can have better optimization content and be moved down to level 3 so that each faction can have similar products.
For example, replace anti-tank rounds with high-explosive rounds (can be supplemented)
And make anti-tank rounds as special ammunition (not replenishable)
The special ammunition of the American M2 mortar can be a white phosphorus bomb with a smaller explosion range but which can effectively burn the tank (the explosion range can only cover the No. 4 and burn the passengers or ignite the tank engine within 10 seconds)
Japan has a history of purchasing 81 mortars and artillery shells with similar equipment used to deliver poison gas bombs.
I guess it wouldn’t be difficult for them to get a similar anti-tank mortar
You can even capture the M2 directly and use the corresponding shells
