Do I get less squad xp if I don’t use the type of soldier that come with the squad?
So for instance if I have a squad that comes with riflemen 2 and I use riflemen 1 instead in it do I get less xp for the squad? Or it doesn’t matter what I use and what matters is how many kills the squad does?
Also if the units in the squad are already maxed level will the squad gain less xp?

Yes. The kills, assist, tanks destruction, objective exp, rally, etc…
When you finish a game, you can put your mouse on at the end the exp bar and you see the detail: how much exp each squad earned during the game.
Hmmmm… Do higher tier troops get more xp than lower? Lets say you unlock assaulter 2 squad and you replace the assaulter 2 in the squad with assaulter 1 because he already has +100% xp so your squad is easier to upgrade from the start. Does assaulter 2 with +100% get more xp than assaulter 1 with +100%?
It is sort of the same question as in the OP but with a twist, if they are the same then what’s the point of getting a higher tier soldier besideds the initial perk?
The only point is grind the weapon in the unlocked squad if you want and so even the next tier soldier, otherwise wo care
Higher tier soldier have higher atributes, other than that you take the ones with the initial perk that you like the most, i still have several Assaulter 1 and 2 on my squads because they were already min maxxed by the time the other ones were launched.
You mean more available atribute points for perks?
If so then the only difference is that you might get a better combo of perks since you can choose more of the high cost ones with a high tier soldier
No you don’t, some good suggestions put forward here, if new, you could always group up and go on discord get advice as you play, I play on a clan and could welcome you on board, active, events every day, mixed console, PC etc
But if not, my biggest tip is use medic, you will be able to survive a lot more, get xp each time you heal people, that’s my tip of the day, for free! 
I think I didn’t make myself clear enough my main question was related to the amount of “SQUAD” XP we get if instead of using the level2 soldier of the specific squad I swap them with a level1 soldiers.
Just curious if I get more SQUAD XP if I keep my crappy level 2 or I instead use the level 1 already leveled up soldier I have from a previous squad.
That’s all.
But I think I kind of saw the result today, my first fight I thought I gathered lots of xp but only leveled up 1 point but then I put that point in xp perk and now I got 2 points from my next fight, so I guess I am getting enough xp.
