Dispersion only truly effects weapons that aren't Meta

moscow has way more buildings and cover where you can either build rally points or sneak through for short range fights.
ardennes i only play on BR5 and there i use AR/SF.
pacific on other hand is rather open map and those rivers usually are shit for rushing enemy. not to mention enemies are spread all over cause of big caps. overall i dont like pacific and i have not grinded japan much, so my opinion may change.

Personally, I’ve never had a problem finding cover on Pacific maps. And I never felt like I had to cross greater distances on an open field.
For rivers, I have a perfectly simple solution. Use the boats more. They are fast and they can easily get you to a place where you can build a perfectly good flanking rally point. That’s literally always the best way how to play it.

As far as I can remember, it was always like that

True.
Also recently there is not much to argue about so any reason is good.

Ok, I made some tests with the G43. I tested its dispersion at 100m, in the first one I used a full star regular G43. But I noticed that I had difficulites aiming consistently, as the front notch was almost as big as the target itself. So I repeated the test with a 3star scoped G43. I placed each shot carefully one by one to minimize human error.

You can see the results in the picture bellow.

But to summarize the dispersion of the G43 is not bad at all, in the second test it comes close to OPs most beloved 1 MOA. (Of course you need to take human error into account too)

no it isnt.

Dispersion for classic G43 is 0.18, for sniper variant is 0.02

Classic and sniper variants do differ stat wise.

Dispersion is completely unpredictable and random. You cannot really say skill issue for something that is rng based

I didn’t say dispersion is good. I have only stated thah MGs and Semis are faaar from being useless.

Now start moving.

semi autos have the same aimed dispersion regardless of if you move or not, so nothing would change

since when?

since day 1

Can I ask you a question? If Im going to shoot very fast with some semis, will their dispersion increase?

Because I have encountered very strange inaccuracies with guns like the G41 or G43, even at very close range. It basically looked like ghost shots.

Okay now I feel like an idiot.

Or in other words I dont believe you.

You can enable visible dispersion cone in editor to check how a gun behaves under different conditions. (type ā€œgun.debug_spreadā€ in console).
Semiauto rifles get crazy dispersion penalty if you try to quickly turn around while hipfiring, it’s just as bad as MG-42. Turning around in aiming mode is much better.

Thanks, I didn’t know that. I’ve never tried the editor before, but this sounds like something I’ll have to check out. I’m interested.

I slightly disagree here, dispersion affects quite alot to slow rof weapons like mp40.
cqc / short range the dispersion aint much of issue.
But at further ranges ~50? and beyond the Mp40 starts to miss alot of shots due to dispersion.
That combined with dmg drop off at range gives more than fair fighting chance to BA / SA beyond cqc range.

At higher BR’s regardless of the higher dispersion in kiraly for example the problem is mitigated by sheer rof, ammo capacity & less dmg drop off.

Personally id prefer them to increase recoil & such to balance automatics vs bolties but I doubt such will ever happen.
