Those are actually valid techniques as far as I know. (I know something but I’m far from being an expert or something remotely close.)
Only nickpick I can have is that one guy is unarmoured.

Yeah halfswording while armored because you can get close safely, which gives a shorter lever to the unarmored opponent using a murderstroke.
