Disappointing

To make a long story short, this is another generic complaint about garbage servers and lag. As an Aussie player Enlisted is genuinely disappointing. For such a large focus on bot squads, it’d be perfect for low playerbase regions… but no.

There are only a handful of games that even acknowledge our existence, let alone support local servers, and this clearly isn’t one of them. So far similar complaints I’ve seen have received the usual “your internet just sucks” or “move to another country” and zero actual solutions beyond buying shady services like ExitLag (which I’ve tried to no avail).

I am aware there aren’t enough players to warrant local servers (OCE/SEA), we’re just not profitable. Honestly, I barely even notice the lag half the time, but other half is full of random spikes and rubber-banding. Even at 144hz shots just vanish. I’ll be killed before even looking round a corner, or enemies will suddenly pop into existence before me as the game catches up.

Why would I or anyone else ever spend money on a game with such terrible servers? Just adding them to appease us isn’t enough, you’ll just take em’ away with the excuse that not enough people joined. Of course we wouldn’t. You need to be consistent and trusted to not immediately tear them away or gimp them later on.

I don’t care if they’re only active for a few hours a day. I don’t care if they’re full of sweaty p2w tryhards. I just want to play 1 game without the lag symbol always being present in the top right corner.

This is why they won’t add the servers in your zone.

They should release server application and let people build their own local servers (still linked to main server for administrative things: XP, gold, etc.).
That was the way it worked for Red Orchestra.

Game is p bad above 100
I can’t imagine playing it at 250-350

Netcode/lag comp could use some work, but I don’t have any clue what I’m talking about there so I won’t pretend to

Man, I have 1 gbit/s dual line with premium routing (guaranteed bandwidth 99.99% of the time), still being just 500km away from EU Server I have about 200ms. Meanwhile East EU Servers perfect latency, North America also pretty stable around 27ms.

Biggest issue seem to be Netcode when to much happens at once on the battlefield, like if bombs dropped and bunch of trees or obstacles disappear, you always have 2-5 seconds lag.
Also Hosting seems to be rather awful… maybe isnt even Netcode but just shit hosting.

I play from New Zealand and have few or no problems - I usually lose any “quick draw” situaytion where we both shoot at the same time ('cos I’m ping 200+ vs sub 50 for most of the world as I understand it), but that is all.

Eminently playable.

we hear you…

unfortunately, it’s been over 1 year of this game life time where generally in oceania many people have issues with ping.

i hope aussies servers will be taken in consideration.
