Direct 11 vs Direct 12 -- Any Noticeable Differences?

I have been running DX11 but I noticed DX12 (beta) is available for rendering. Does anyone have any insight as to what if any differences pro/cons to rendering in 12 as opposed to 11 ? Just curious??

DX12 for me is much less stable. Have the game crash every other day, so I’ve switched back to DX11 for the time being. I’m using an AMD graphics card though, so that might be contributing. Curious if any other AMD users are experiencing similar issues?

My experience with DX12 for first few days was pretty decent.
But then, after some time, it lowered my average fps by ±10.
I am playing on highest settings, so I could pontentionaly lower something. But I was lazy. So I just switched back to dx11

That’s interesting. I was using DX11 and getting very sporadic fatal crashes, like complete system lockup requiring a reboot. It’d happen at very random times too, sometimes at the end of a battle, sometimes at the start, sometimes after about 4 or 5 matches.

I started using DX12 and the total system crashes have stopped. That said, the game did crash yesterday, but it was only the game that locked up and crashed, not the whole system. So there’s progress.

I usually use Wallpaper Engine, but recently stopped it when playing Enlisted, because I wondered if that was causing issues. I’ll re-enable it later to see if it does have an effect.

Oh, and I have an RX6950XT, so I don’t know if it’s an AMD thing or not.

Dx12 runs, somewhat slower, although stable. Still using 11.

I7 860 + GTX 960 Here:

DX12 has some features while dx11 does not. As an example: if you have a weak amd gpu, use dx12 for fsr 2.0 but if you want stable and a fluid gameplay, use dx11.
