In my opinion battles set in nighttime, dawn and dusk; and in foggy conditions would really spice things up.
Nightime battles could probably offer some moonlight though.
What do you soldiers think?

I like it. Would mean that you had to use different tactics instead of it just being the same same

It could work if they add proper lighting effects - bright stars and moon for starters.
