This is not important, I just never noticed it before and/or just didnt pay any attention to it.
Yesterday I played Germany BR 5 and used 3 squads in the battle:
On the scoreboard these squads got totally different names:
754th grenadier regiment → 334th infantry division
600th parachute battalion → panzer brigade 150
157th engineer battalion → 57th infantry division
Click on “i” button and you will learn why.

Confusing that the game mentions the same squads in different ways.

Because in game are used both regiment/squad/battalion name and division name
Division name: 7th armoured division
Squad name: 131th infantry brigade
You see the division name in the scoreboard and the squad name in the squad selection
