I know that it would entail more work for the devs, but at this point I think its worth bringing up:
PC meta is a lot different than Console Meta. We face fairly different issues because of this. I myself play in console only lobbies, and almost every console player I’ve met does the same. Unfortunately, when we pitch our ideas that would help in the lobbies we are playing in, the ideas are shot down by PC players that are having a very different experience.
BOTH SIDES ARE VALID.
I’m not saying to remove the crossplay, if console players wish to play with PC players, that is their choice. However, having different balancing for the console only lobbies would be greatly appreciated, so we aren’t getting penalized or screwed over for something we aren’t experiencing as an issue in our games.
Note: There are many reasons console players don’t wish to play alongside PC players. One of the big ones is that desync is made even worse for someone that is playing on an old-gen console in a lobby with players that might have high-end PCs.
On PC, most players are trying to use as many assaulter squads as possible. Whereas on console, there seems to be a much more even distribution of squads used. MG squads, snipers, engineers, etc. Not everyone is just endlessly rushing the point for CQB.
On console, there is constantly a lot of artillery being used via radio operator squad. Both standard artillery and bombing runs. From what everyone on PC has said, RO squads are barely used in their lobbies.
There are other differences, but these seem to be the two most prominent ones.
I’ve heard that from time to time. From console players testimonies, meta is supposedly lmg oriented (I don’t know, I’m on pc) while on pc, meta is clearly assaulters n smgs.
There’s probably bolties as consoles have slight aim assist… But this one I’m not certain is that different as it’s easier to aim with a mouse.
That sort of difference.
It’s why I don’t mind anymore about crossplay. It’s such a big melting pot nowadays that I don’t really notice who plays on what anymore. Just glad matches are filled up with humans (when they are).
You nailed it pretty well. The metas are definitely different, and as far as aiming with a mouse or with a controller: you see a lot less people spinning 180 and being dead on with a controller. Even with aim assist the amount of control that console players have is less than that of PC players. In addition, we have to map our buttons out the best we can on a controller, often times leaving some more intricate controls out. So we have less control in that regard as well. I’ve seen some people able to achieve some pretty good speed in some of the lighter tanks, but to control restraints, I am unable to unless I sacrifice something else for it.
This is because majority of Marshall and maxed out players are in PC, there are high level console players but far less
I still see a large amount of artillery in Crossplay lobbies, not radio sqauds per say I know I don’t run a RO sqaud just put one in all my other units
You only see The difference i can assure you like most of us that console spam auto and radio exactly like pc user spam auto and radio
Maybe someone like spam plane or tank or BA or semi but this dont mean a difference on meta, everyone have differently playstyle even if use the same thing of other people
Your generalization
In
Pc user= full auto spammer
And
Console user=camper
Make me laugh,as if we have a label on how we play based on whether we use a pad or a mouse
The vast majority of Console players that I play with and against are either Marshall rank or pretty close to it.
May I ask how often you guys on PC/ crossplay lobbies see the bomber runs coming through? On console only lobbies they are fairly frequent, but don’t really end up with a whole lot of kills. They are used more for the effect of clearing away large amounts of cover and foliage, as well as engineer fortifications.
This also brings up another question, as I’ve heard vastly different replies from PC players: how much are engineers used in your lobbies? Console only lobbies tend to have a pretty fair amount of engineering fortifications. Which is why I’m often advocating for better options for engineers. In my experience, it makes a big difference, but from others experiences it might not.
@Vaughn_Brute got it right, most PC players are high level but there isn’t as much. And when playing PC players they are more tryhard like and spam auto while on console auto spam isn’t as prominent.
Oh ok. lol. You had me rather confused as another game I used to play added crossplay with mobile and it was a disaster.
I don’t mind the half bot lobbies as long as the number of actual players is at least roughly equal. In fact its nice sometimes as the games are usually slower-paced.
