I’ve always felt the M1 Carbine is too underpowered. The VG 1-5 hits harder, and has a larger magazine too. I’m sure they can increase the hit power to 8.0 and still keep it BR II, since it has half the magazine size.

To be fair, it was a lot weaker in real life too compared to the Garand, but, it feels like it’s gotten weaker in the past few days. Or I’m encountering a lot more peeps with Vitality.

No, the M1 Carbine is just as weak as it’s always been. My kids BB gun has more stopping power then the M1.

The biggest problem is that people have to continuously complain and whine non stop for a year before DF contemplates any action, which usually just means we get told “they’re discussing it”, which is code for they have no plans on doing anything about it, just placating us so we’ll shut up for a few months. 
Like the FNAB and M1 Carbine, if we continue to call for it to be reworked, we have a small chance, if we stop, it’s swept under the rug.
It took a couple years of bitching before they finally shit canned the soft rule, so, nothing is easy or done quickly with DF.

Why are you comparing it to the weapon of other faction with different cartridge?
The dmg per bullet of M1 carbine is on par with dmg of M2 carbine.
Are you trying yet again to make game less interesting by making weapons from different factions to have same effective ranges with same dmg drop offs for whatever reason?

Given that all auto-weapons are well nerfed already, it has to be weaker than the full-cartridge ones - there’s no room for it to be any good
The M1/M2 won’t be that similar. It can have a faster damage drop off, plus it has a different recoil pattern, different sights, different dispersion, half the magazine. What in that, other than the damage it deserves, makes it even remotely similar to the VG 1-5. Plus, it can’t be equipped to all soldiers. I consider that enough of a difference between the two.

M1 Carbine was not nerfed, only BR2 was powercreeped to the point that it’s completely out matched by Fedorov 1912

Well nowadays semi autos have a RPM of 350, which isnt as fast as it used to be back in the days - but it also used to be even worse in the time between.
M1 Carbine and VG however shoot slower than most semi autos which is the main thing that makes them unsatisfying to use.
Upping their fire rate to 350 to be on the same level as G43, SVT and such will make them so much fun to use.
