Also remember that it increases the longer you shoot.
Lol same place.
Obviously mine wasnt refreshed (offline)…
Been open a while
So obviously it was worse not too long ago
Here you will not find like-minded people, comrade.
The avt does not use the avs standard magazine. It is a fully automatic version of the svt. The component specifications also follow the same standards. The most widely used is naturally the 10-round standard non-fixed magazine, but it also has 15, 20, 25 test magazine
I never seen or heard of avt40 using bigger magazines than 15, are you sure that your source is legit?
Sooo…sounds like it got a pretty favourable deal??
DF fixed the fg42 magazine to 20 rounds for the sake of gameplay, and changed the avt40 to 20 rounds for the same reason. Otherwise, please refer to the Akt40.
Read my post from the beginning You can Google
No, no. FG42 was issued mostly with 20 round “Standard FG42 Magazine” in real life. AVT-40 in real life(actually it almost didn’t existed formally) issued with 10 round magazine, with full automatic fire capability removed. FG42 in game is historically accurate while AVT-40 ingame needs nerf(or even removal from the game)on the same sake of the realism and historical accuracy.
No. AVT-40 didn’t entered service AT ALL. most of AVT-40 rifles converted to SVT-40 configuration, using same 10 round magazine and same semi-auto firing mode only.
Thanks, I did hear that AVT40 had a very short life span in full-auto, so converting them to the proven SVT40 makes sense.
AVS, AKT rifles were rejected by red army in same manner. To add.
Arguably best weapon of the game needs some buffing now ?
The 20-25 round magazine AVTs could be added as seperate unlocks or as event guns.
plz dont
The avt40 was ordered and produced on May 20, 1942, and production ended in the summer of 1943. This is completely different from the small quantity you said. And the acceptance of modification you mentioned did not happen. Only the Avt40 in the inventory after 1943 had its automatic firing function removed. The version that has been sent to the front line can still fire fully automatically and does not only have a 10-round magazine.
This is a necessary change for balance and is not an acceptable campaign option
Eh, balancing weapons are quite alot more complicated than looking at ammo count.
And generally what you are asking here sound much same if I were to ask little bit more armor for my KT2 as I died with it earlier in berlin.
That’s speculation. However, we have other examples of full-automatic rifles rejected because of its performance(AVS-36, AKT-40, etc.), and mention of ‘unsatisfactory performance’ of AVT-40 itself made its production and service ended in about earlier then a year, we can logically make conclusion it was ‘Still’, too small amount of em to be actually shown occationally among soviet frontline infantry formations. Also we have general info of ‘AVT-40’s performance was as same as SVT-40 but added full-automatic fire capability’, which implies it was majorly serviced with as similar degree of what SVT-40 which large amount of them already serving the red army with, SVT-38/40 standard 10-round magazine would be served majorly with those AVT-40s with field prohibition/inoperable modification be applied to not break rifle during combat with.
However, i agree some derailing from reality is needed in game for its experience, but current AVT-40 in game already got its ahistorical buff. And you called in the first place starting this topic stating ‘FG-42 in real life used 10-round magazine as majorly(it clearly didn’t), AVT-40 needs (more)buff from its current performance and its historically accurate to buff(it isn’t) the AVT-40 as well.’ with photos of ‘experimental’ magazines. Didn’t you?
