they could just say in a tweet “We are working in the game” and we would have the same info as we have now after the “Q&A”
pretty much.
but hey, better than nothing.
i’m glad they will make more polls and be more active with the community.
Thank you, could watch only half of it. Neither sweet nor sour by the way, I already knew that they wouldn’t give us a lot of information (aka almost zero), but still something
Thank you for taking notes and posting here.
You just saved me watching and listening to 34 mins of total rambling of not much.
You missed keofox committing war crimes in game
Ahhh was that Keofox’s game play.
Ah ok, guess I will have to watch now then lol
" Q what about suicider bombers? any punishment planned?
A: we are going to increase the delay before the bomb explosions to make suicide bombers on below attitudes less effective."
Suicide bombers are annoying ofc, but what about just removing points if u die within 10 sec of a kill, done. Bomb delays are annoying and frustrating when taking out tanks with airplanes.
that doesn’t sound a good solution to me though…
But we’ll see…
Ty @ErikaKalkbrenner for the resume.
I didn’t even know about this.
Feels like the questions were picked regarding what they are current working.
Meh
Seems like a really strange way to go about it to me. It isnt significant enough to stop suicide bombing, and its not like you drop them from a great height when not suiciding either
It uses to be the case that if you died before your bombs blew, the kills would just be credited to “enemy”.
I thought this was a good way to not reward suicide bombers, but I guess it was just a bug since they patched it out.
They spoked ( or rather, vaguely mentioned ) about new game modes
Still, dunno what those will be, but hey, new content.
Which those does not involve half tracks, but its potential content.
Thank you for this, it’s really helpful
I knew there was this video but was too busy looking (hearing) at all of it myself
Thank you very much! You saved me a lot of time. Great contribution to the community!
Yes, very nice.
I don’t think lack of point will actually deter them in many cases - especially for defensive teams - the object of them is to just get kills and then get back in the game ASAP.
So there’s is an obvious counter to this - and that is a longer cool down for respawning - it directly addresses at least part of the motivation (IMO) - perhaps a 30 second respawn delay if you die within 5-10-whatever seconds of dropping bombs?
Yeah, or as i mentioned in another thread punish them by a penalty of X Points, this way they’ll think twice about that. Don’t think punishing the experience for all and making mechanics annoying for everyone is the way to go.
I doubt the effectiveness of this
Or if the pilot dies within x amount of seconds, the enemy teams gets all kills back onto their ticker. If you do it twice maybe a 30 second response delay for you. Each time add a response delay punishment and add enemy ticket marks back on and it eliminates the issue. You still could kill yourself 5 seconds after dropping the bombs but you’d actually have to drop the bombs to some degree of accuracy, which is essentially the issue, people turning their planes into a big bomb and aiming instead of developing pilot skills.
The fundamental role of the suicide missile is to bring the ultimate game victory by gaining battlefield dominance and gain 1.5x Exp
Even if the kill experience brought by the suicide plane itself is eliminated, as long as this behavior can eliminate the opponent’s unit, even if it is a time-delay bomb, it still has meaning.
Therefore, neither the delay bomb nor the elimination of killing experience can fundamentally prohibit such behavior.
In a short amount of time, quickly throwing a suicide time-delay bomb from the battlefield can thwart the enemy’s attack and ultimately lead to victory. Why not do this? Players will still do it.
