I’m just glad the Dev’s have a system in place that can tell the difference between intentional and non intentional. I think this is my fourth unintentional desertion since the new penalty was imposed, however, the other three were power outages.
BTW, we were winning, so another kick in the dick.
How dare you living in a place with a faulty power grid.
It’s entirely your fault and you should repent for depriving others from their fun (even if it looks like a one sided stomp in your team’s favour)
It doesn’t matter, the penalty doesn’t accumulate and doesn’t affect anything xD
Just immigrate to another country or topple down your shitty government.
I tried playing again, and guess what, same results. I didn’t get booted this time as I barely made it through the second game, although as shitty as the network was I should have just pulled the plug and deserted as every time I shot someone, it took six to eight seconds for him to fall down, I did an internet speed check afterwards, and it’s not on me, this is GAIJIN servers. So, not only am I penalized, but it appears to be Gaijin’s fault.

I guess if this is the quality I can expect tonight, I’m throwing in the towel.
This looks like a custom match (I don’t recall Soviets visiting Tunisia)
Do ppl also get penalties for leaving custom matches?
It would be hilarious.
It’s entirely your fault for not anticipating gaijin servers hiccups. Such a lack of foresight.
You should be flogged to repent for this disrespectful offense!
Yeah, after I figured out the network was bad tonight I tried playing a custom match to see if it were any better, and changed the server. No change though, so I called it a night.
I remember having days where my internet speed was like that. I think I can still play when it is that speed, but not if it drops much lower. I actually have good internet here in Dumaguete Philippines where I am at now, but before in Palawan Philippines it was good most of the time, but when it was bad, it was REALLY bad. NTM my power went off far more there then it does here, and when it went off it was usually off hours. Here normally if it goes off it is only off for minutes.
I don’t know, the one I was booted from was not custom, but this was, however I had several network connection issues but never got kicked from the game. I did lose the game however, mostly because I couldn’t take any objectives after the network got so bad, and the bots wouldn’t do it on their own. When my dude would die, it would take half a dozen seconds or more before it would switch me to the next dude, so, the game objectives were pretty useless at that point, especially since multiple squad members would die before I could get switched to one.
My internet is always like this. Iran has one of the worst internets in the world.
The electricity goes out for 2 hours every day. At least we have a power outage plan and I don’t start a battle in the half hour left during that time and I don’t get a 20% penalty. I don’t know whether I should be happy or depressed.
Poors, third-worlders, it’s easy don’t you see? Just live in a modern 1st world country and make bank so you can spend it on the enjoyment of others!
Don’t be selfish now, you didn’t click play so you could enjoy yourself?!?
Even with my (if I may say so myself) very good set-up, I sometimes still get stuttery games or server issues. There is definetly something wrong server side sometimes (too often), but I know it aint me.
Custom matches should not give penalties although i was penalized couple times probably due to a bug
I couldn’t remember if you were penalized or not from leaving a custom match, I thought you were as I did quit one when I joined and the last objective was close to falling, so I just bailed from the game and I thought I got a penalty, just couldn’t remember for sure. I know you can quit from your own custom matches as I have done that a couple times when something popped up and I quit, and didn’t get a penalty the next time I played.
Guess I am getting too old to care about a good ping and big bandwidth… man I have a 500 Mbps internet connection and something like a 10 ms ping, but I am literally using wireless internet through USB tethering from my phone for half a year now - despite having a cat.7 cable connection right next to my PC - but I’ve been too lazy to put a plug on that cable (I’m an Electrician and doing that would just take me a few minutes)
I am lazy beyond believe.
Should’ve been digging under Gaijin HQ and then steal their internet cable to never be able to disconnect ever again.
We must be brothers.
