Hello, with the addition of new paratroopers as part of an event. It seems impossible to defend against the allies as the axis.
What can we do?
Give the defenders the position of the next objective. So that engineers can have time to properly prepare, protect, and dig.
With no spawn protection. The job of the engineers are impossible now with the paratroopers. Especially when you’re the only person who is building things at times.
This goes for all campaigns. Engineers not knowing where the next objective is makes it sometimes impossible to keep up.
You will build fortifications on the front —> paratroopers will enter at the back.
You will build fortifications on all sides —> now your team will not enter the objective.
Paratroopers need to be restricted, but rather - transport plane cannot be used if defenders have active fighter plane above the objective. Same like a player cannot spawn in a rally if there enemies nearby (“active battle nearby”).
first, you complained about axis planes, and now it’s impossible to defend against the allies as axis?
i detect a severe bias and … i don’t normally say this, but quite possibly, a misuage of the tools that have been given to you.
and to finish off, i would like to remind you that you are posting in the wrong section of the forum.
the mods category is meant to be used for mods and modification through the editor. not… feedbacks that are not related to just those.
anyway,
not to sound rude, but you are kinda wrong on the whole thing either:
it’s not outright impossible to counter them, thye just make things a bit difficult.
there could be a discussion here on how they can be realtively quick to be delpoyed with almost no down sides.
but that’s not the case, and i’m sorry to say it, but your " solution " doesn’t fix the problem at hand nor it’s in the view of developers.
this, is exactely what developers are against.
i can’t find it here on two feets, but keofox, reported to the community that the team of devs dislike the fact that you are building your little castles on the next objective while they ( or any teammates ) is still on the old points trying to defend it, while you or other engineers are diverting manpower back and do something else.
after all, you are supposed to avoid the enemies capturing your point by countering attack towards their spawn your self
( yes, not ideal and in some occasion, not fun. but that’s another topic for another time )
and currently, defending is somewhat stronger than attacking. because you can just do what the attackers do except you don’t have to worry about the tickets like they have to.

not to mention, i just pointed out, devs are not huge fun of allowing defenders to preemptively defend the point. when you are supposed to defend the current one. and how you technically don’t even need to know about the next point that you are supposed to defend.

whether no one actually said otherwise, isn’t it kinda funny that you wants to improve a game, yet you are kinda the one who needs to improve him self?
i don’t claim that i’m a goddes at this game. but sure damn as well i try other things and actually test before laying out " solutions " or suggestion for a said problem.
because with knowledge and experience, you can pretty much guess in a match based on a map where the objective is going to be.
another topic that we could discuss and worthed of attentions, but we’re still " stuck " with you having a problem about paratroopers with a rather questionable solution that doesn’t even tackle the " issue ". as again, those would be just shortcoming.
and we surely can’t base a game by countering X in favor of Y. because i can guaratee it will become obsolete if a Z gets in the way.
( to put it more bluntly, knowing a point and defending it with engineers isn’t really gonna do it for you. as paratroopers how currently they are, they can simply flank your little castle or blow it up to bits with some explosives ) and with the upcoming merge where levels will be tied and unified, since you are relatively new as you sayed your self, it’s not going to be an issue of any time soon.
( perhaps for the american players against the japanese, but we’ll see )

Same here, I’m not a god either. I appreciate the feedback. It’s just hard out there being the only one doing something lmao. Console crossplay can be hell when you’re the only one trying to keep up
So the devs want to work defenders to death we don’t know where objectives are we lose the objective we’re stuck pulling back to the next objective and get shot In the back of the head pulling back to wherever the next objective decides to randomly appear It’s not fun playing defender
Oh we can. Console crossplay is hell sometimes. The fastest game I had yesterday when a team of paratroopers and p47s ran through D-Day like it was a marathon. I couldn’t even build up the middle bunker in time to stop the onslaught of paratroopers. Absolute madness
Yep. I couldn’t agree with you more. Defending now that everyone is gonna have paratroopers is going to be impossible. I have the paratroopers on the Pacific campaign. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING compared to the madness of what I experienced. It’s the whole reason why I’ve been bitching today lmao
If you look through all the suggestions you’ll see me floating around and talking about aa guns or paratroopers mostly the paratroopers at the moment but not much support For defense but plenty of support for the paratroopers so Our words are falling on deaf ears at this point
