Tanks would really benefit from dedicated brake button. Shooting form a stop in this game is the most awkward thing. You press S, tank slows down, still goes forward. You press it again, still goes forward, you press it again, it goes backwards. This is just bad UI.
Another option would be to hold S for brake and if you want to reverse, you have to lift the finger and press it again.
Please. Solve this in any way you find fitting but the state it is in now is just infuriating. Thanks in advance

Look, in War Thunder, for example, you can set keys for only break the tank! The rear keys will brake and after backward the tank.
Enlisted need “brake only” control set for tanks. I now got problems to stay a tank stopped in a hill. I only want a key that enables me hold a tank in a hill holding a brake button.
you both need perks to the driver ( of using brake something something ) and upgrade your tank for that.
Except sometimes you can end up going back and forward trying to stop the vehicle.
