There are a number of locations in the game that the capture area is simply too large to hold effectively. If the point is in a building, reduce the area of capture so that players don’t simply sit outside of it in order to capture.
One of my biggest examples of this is on Moscow campaign. “Monastery” map, 4th objective. The wall of the Monastery. Currently, attackers only have to stand outside the wall in the corner and can fit a large number of players there with decent safety. They don’t even have to push through the tunnel or the broken part of the wall other than to hold back the defenders.
Meanwhile, defenders aren’t able to make strategic use of the terrain to actually “defend”, as the attackers don’t have to go through the choke point in order to capture.
If the capture area was reduced to the choke points and the section of wall in between, the fight would be much more engaging, and perhaps more winnable for the defense.
There are many locations like this across all the campaigns, and having to worry about the exterior of the building you are trying to defend as well as the interior is ridiculous. It’s understandable when its an area that encompasses multiple buildings and the area between them, or an open courtyard, but excessively large capture areas hurt the game.
no, attacking areas need to be bigger, this would just encourage more WP and explosives spam. defence side is already easier than attacking and current cap zones seem very arbitrary, not making much sense
A talented pilot can drop a bomb into the front of the tunnel and take out every czech hedgehog inside. My buddy tried that tactic in an attempt to block, and that’s exactly what happened. As far as AA, remove its ability to be placed indoors, otherwise, an engineer can break it down pretty quickly.
Otherwise, there is still the open section of wall! The amount of fortifications it would take to set that up is insane, plus a single run with aircraft would clear it!
White phosphorus needs a nerf. Thats something nearly everyone can agree with. As far as other explosives spam, It’s why fortification durability needs to be increased a bit and let engineers do their thing.
I agree with some areas needing to have shorter cap sizes, with some maps in Normandy coming to mind with the bunker at the edge of the swamp in invasion (Attackers can just sit outside towards their spawn and cap it very easily) but I’ve noticed moscow has a pretty decent capture zone size on its own overall although I’ve never noticed the problem with attackers being on the outside wall capping on monastery. Especially with how gastonfrizzi mentioned above Czech emplacements are really good at locking down the tunnel mixed with sandbags and barbed wire also I’ve never really noticed Czech traps being destroyed via plane or tank only by hand.
Dont trow us your buddy skill as always for back up your bad suggestion please
After 4000 battle is still have to see someone able to do this, and even if happen is sufficient rebuild everything again or put a tank inside and lock him forever
Use mine, granade, plane, artillery, boming run attacker have cross the river for arrive to the monastery outer wall you can calmly bomb them to the outer space
For whay i can understand this is only something you dont like
Not necessarily true. There is usually a rally point both left and right on the outer section of the wall. After the initial push I rarely see infantry crossing the water, usually only tanks.
Don’t discount my experiences just because you haven’t had something similar in your game or call it a bad suggestion because you play with players that don’t have the talent to do so. PLEASE.
Interesting, because I see it happen every third or fourth game and I play on console only lobbies… hmm, maybe console players aren’t as bad as everyone thinks they are. (Side note, I myself have done it with the Sb-2m. Perhaps I’ll have to make a clip the next time I do it. I didn’t know it was something that special.)
Those rallypoint can be killed locking down from the wall, not hard it need 20 second at max
I discount them because this happen only to your buddy, 2y on this forum and no one has talked about the same experience
So
People start questioning them at one point
Returning to my reply UP, how something only you see can be taked for truth, a lucky bomb land happen to everyone
But every 4 match… please
…
Sure and is totally not faked in costum match after a lot of trial and error right? Maybe even with your buddy in your team for make the clip more autentic
Not a whole lot of console players on the forums YET it would seem. Though that is where its happening. Perhaps once more people from console come in, you will see that its not just me.
Most of the objective areas make no sense.
Bigger and larger objective area is better.
Like why just 1 building in stalingrad so important rather than but block of buildings to cover that strecth along parellel to frontline ?
This is another reason why tanks and planes can farm ridiculous xp since everybody gathers in some narrow place.
Well we need bigger maps for that first.
They can open more of the playable are in maps but they are not doing since beginning idk why
You talking about stukas ?
I have played with lots of planes and experimented with their bombing capacity
Its nearly impossible or out of luck to do that kind of bombing with fighters.
Medium bombers are not suitable either.
Only dive bomber can do that still hghly unlikely.
Maybe you are talking about rockets
I managed to launch rocket inside of farm building once in normandy (cant remember the name of the map)
What would YOU classify the Sb-2m as? I’m not 100% sure what planes the Axis have on that campaign, but I see them do it quite frequently. There are more ways to have accurate bombs than just dive-bombers.
Personally, I use a method I’ve heard referred to as “glide bombing” and am usually dead on. It takes practice, that is for sure, but it is doable.
(I use the A-20 on Normandy Campaign same way, and land lots of direct hits on tanks.)
Glide bombing is suitable if you are flying with ju 188
Dive bombing is far more accurate in everyway
Glide bombing doesnt really work in urban fight.
Vertical approach is better.
I even use my fighters with bombs like stukas and its far more effective
Hell
Fw a-8 and other eocket launchers are more accurate with vertical approach against tanks
Since they can cover their sides in streets maybe but their top is always open
