Soviet tanks use DT-29 machine guns. This same gun can also be used by infantry.
The problem is that soviet tank DT*29 has a much bigger reload time than regular infantry DT-29
For all you historical accuracy guys I know space in tanks is cramped and all but it shouldn’t make the reload time so much longer. Japanese tanks also use magazine-fed machine guns but their reload time is much quicker
Soviet tank DT-29 shouldn’t be as fast to reload as Japanese tank machine gun but it should be at least somewhat quicker.
I spend most my time in Soviet tanks reloading more than firing, not to mention that tank MG’s all deal much less damage than regular infantry MG’s which doesn’t stack well with DT-29’s slow firerate.
DT-29 is probably the 2nd worst tank MG in the game after that italian MG
They didn’t copy and paste what we wanted to copy and paste, or they copied the same physical parameters but changed the underlying physical rules in the engine
I’m sure that’s a bug, planes in enlisted are full of bugs honestly
so they forgot to change the reload time for DT as well and just straight copy-pasted the whole tank
this proves my theory that Darkflow just ‘‘forgets’’ to change some things
How I remember in closed alpha, MG’s only dealt 8-9 dmg per bullet but were later increased to 12dmg, this change wasn’t made for tanks so tanks in Enlisted still deal 9dmg 2 years after the change
I hardly even use MG’s on soviet tanks because they reload so long, overheat all the time and deal a bit more damage than SMG
T-28 is the only russian tank with useful MG’s… because it has 3 of them
