Decrease how often reverse D-Day appears

Call me crazy, but I swear I play reverse D-Day about 10x more often than normal D-Day. Maybe even more often. Why is this map the most common one I see from the Normandy sets?

Decrease it to zero percent chance, please.

I think itā€™s about time we get a completely new D-Day landing map from scratch. The current map we have is a pain, both defending and attacking.

I fully agree.

Its an entirely fantasy map, no relation to any of the real life Normandy beaches.

Iā€™ve previously suggested Juno beach.

  1. Gives recognition to the other beaches and veterans (especially Canadian and British) other than Omaha.

  2. From photographs it seems relatively flat with some houses by the shoreline and so forth, which would be far more appropriate and interesting in game.

  3. Relating to point 2, much easier for vehicles to move around.

Iā€™ve also previously suggested they add Dunkirk. Its a famous battle, we havent really got any early war battles, and as a way for a proper ā€˜reverse D Dayā€™ situation.

Alternate between Dunkirk (Allies defending) and D Day (Germans defending) for a better (and more realistic) experience.

Thereā€™s also the landings at Anzio in the Battle for Italy or landings on Sicily (which I believe was defended by Vichy French?)

I donā€™t think theyā€™ll do Dunkirk for the foreseeable future because they arenā€™t separating Britain and Italy. I think its because they think Britain canā€™t stand alone as its own faction with their weapons and vehicles. For now the gameā€™s timeline seems to be purely American involvement+. So nothing before Guadalcanal and Tunisia. For nowā€¦

Iā€™d like to have a map for each D-Day beach

Also I think Pointe du Hoc could work as a good ā€œreverseā€ D-Day map. Given the gameā€™s combined arms I donā€™t think weā€™d ever have a Point du Hoc where the Americans are scaling the cliffs, unless of coarse the first stage of the map just blocks American vehicles until you scale the cliff. But it could work when set as after the Americans scaled the cliffs and pushed inland that they had to hold off German counter-attacks.

That is such a shame. There is so much to explore before 1942.

As to Britain and Italy being able to stamd on their own. Yes it is 100% possible.

This is a bad low level map.
They just completely flipped it around without changing anything.
I mean, this is a stupid map. If you play as a defender, you will have this problem:
The bunker door still faces the attacker, making it easier for the attacker to enter the strategic point than the defender.
I donā€™t think this design makes any sense.

What BR are you playing? I play BR II 99% of the time and I switch between US and Germany. I rarely get the reverse Normandy map.

I get 50%+ Japanese maps, 25% Africa, and 25% western front when I play US. I would gladly take reverse Normandy over any of the terrible Japanese maps.

Agreed. Most maps work fine in reverse but not DDay. Itā€™s so dumb and should not be a thing.

BR 2 Germany, itā€™s the most common Normandy map I swear.

Ah man, I wish I got Normandy a lot on US. I get Pacific maps easily 50%+ of the time. I just started getting a good rotation of the US/German snow maps, which is nice. Reverse Normandy I get maybe once a week, at best.
