Decorations and New Abilities for Tank Commanders

i feel this is a let down

Bushes in War Thunder were a mistake. An ugly, immersion ruining, unfair advantage giving mistake in order to make more money.

No one would think bad about decorations if other people could simply turn them off. And if War Thunder Air RB has told me anything over the years then it’s that most people have no taste. 95% of their creations will look exactly like the horror pictures here. But since Gaijin couldn’t make enough money without selling an ingame advantage, we never saw that option of being able to hide decorations.

I hope the brush interacts with molotov. If you throw one to a brush up tank, it will light up like a Christmas tree and take a long time to burn off, effectively blind the tank for a whole time

I was never considering putting teddy bears on my tanks but now that I know it apparently makes some people so completely assmad I shall put teddy bears on all my tanks.

Very good suggestions and illustrated too, they should hire you, you would do a much better job! your ideas make sense, not nonsense lol

Better lend them to joe, he needs them more

I knew a person who was a WWll tanker and lived to talk about it. He has passed on unfortunately. I dont recall him saying anything about teddy bears, but he did say they would stuff uniforms with whatever they could get ahold of and put them as dumbies riding the tank to draw fire away from real soldiers and to see what direction the bullets came from. He also said they didn’t put anything with bright colors on tank, infact they tried to camouflage it, AND they put all kinds of things on tank to carry for the troops when they were marching from point a to b, but when fighting they kept things on tank to a minimum to conserve wieght and fuel. Also he said he would smear mud on tank for camouflage and he said if they were staying in a area he and his crew wouid use shovel and knives and cut turf and cover everything they could with it, when it rained, mud would wash off but the turf stayed put, he said that was best camouflage but seldom had time to put turf on, his crew was smart, they all survived while operating tank but towards end of war two members got out to help some civilians and were gunned down by a fighter plane flying low.

He told me many stories about his experiences in the war, but i dont recall him ever mentioning any teddy bears.

My take on all this decor stuff is this: its a fun idea but i think efforts would be much better spent on getting the game to run smoothly, the last major update has caused a plethora of new bugs and it brang back a bunch of old ones. And the last event has has had so many issues we could write a book on them.
Long story short, you are concentrating your efforts making decorations when they should be concentrated on MORE IMPORTANT MATTERS AT HAND.

More Good News!

That’s a stationary group photo though. Whoever thinks that they drove into actual battle with that teddy on top possibly also thinks that this is how Germans drive into battle:

Soon™ possible in War Thunder and Enlisted

I think primary thing that devs should improve in tank gameplay, is make all machineguns to be operational, like those in front armor and at back of the turret. And also add more types of shells to tank cannons, with ability to choose how many of them player want to have, like in War Thunder.

I’m loving the sound of this update, but I do have one question: will we ever have the ability to earn the skins/decals/props by using the vehicle such as in War Thunder or will we only have the option to buy them?

Well said wotan

Well to be honest I wouldn’t answer you either with such a demanding attitude and after accusations.

While you can always voice your opinion that bugfixing and a smoother gameplay should hold a higher priority in their roadmaps it appears only reasonable that their development teams try to reuse stuff from War Thunder in order to make money.

A MMO developers point of view to make cash with a product is often a completely different from a players view as we can see with War Thunder were customer-unfriendly actions of the devs and development of the game has created a very toxic atmosphere between the playerbase and the devs as they have no reason to listen to the wishes of the players or search for a fair treatment as people will buy their products anyway, no matter how disappointed they are with Gaijin.

Luckily Enlisted isn’t at this point yet. You’ll notice that as events, grind and BP tasks are actually still manageable without having to sacrifice you whole sparetime or paying tons of cash to avoid it. That’s possibly also a reason why they try to increase the ways people can spend money in this game. And as such it can be assumed that they should think twice of implementing things that were rather unpopular already with War Thunder. Adding bushes and decorations without an option to turn them off was a mistake - and so it would be with Enlisted.

Just an FYI for everyone who’s in the same boat waiting for any dev to give an answer on a tough topic, HLL was on sale recently :eyes:

Here are some examples of what could be possible, I’m all for immersion btw, but this is my interpretation of what could be done to try and represent historical camouflage within the constraints of WT modelling in this case.

Lets start with a Stug IIIG:

Here’s a Pz IIIM:

or a Panther:

M4A1 76(W):

Sherman VC Firefly:

Samurai mask is now offered as a decoration

Still historical and realistic?

Secret 4 u

If you buy a Skin for normal Jumbo-Normandy and make the standart Skin again,
You can equipp that Skin for your Premium Jumbo.
That works with Standart PzIII N too, buy a Skin for it, remove… go Tunisia and give that Skin the Premium PzIII N
