Context:
Because my place is nowhere close to any Enlisted server, i always use my personal data rather than my WiFi because it’s generally more stable and to avoid having constant “Network connection disturbed”.
As i use personal data, i know how many MB of data i used per game (60-100 MB/game).
Problem:
I find it sometimes Enlisted drain data faster than it usually is (use 500 MB in just a few minutes). This usually happen after update.
I notice this first when Dev drop the “Making Enlisted a Better Place No.1” Update. and this happened too in the second and the third.
Yesterday when the third “Making Enlisted a Better Place” update drop. I load up Enlisted launcher, but the launcher said my game is up-to-date (i can already play the game normally).
So i ask to myself, “Where is the update?”
Question:
Do Enlisted allowed some update to go in the background as i’m playing the game? Cause i think it is that’s why the data draining, because the game update in the background.
If it’s true, can all update happen in the launcher pls
its like torrenting, they use our computers instead of paying for their own inrastructure and bandwith to host the downloads. It’s a peer 2 peer network (ie. user to user)
It’s practical, at least in a world of generous upload speeds and no data limits.
Like ghost said, less money has to get dumped into server infrastructure for the devs.
As well if you’re far from a server you can be supported more by players who are midway between you and it.
Is very useful, can save many hours waiting, to get from a original source, to say if you had to d/l 30+GB , and you can get from multiple sources etc, speeds it way up.
Been using Ed2k network for many years, very efficient.
At least it can be turned off and they don’t try to hide it. Many other MP game platforms do the very same thing but it’s not able to be turned off or they attempt to hide it from the consumer.
