What are you intentions concerning the Iconic US weapons that are missing from the American Normandy campaign?
Initially when the open beta began all of your players/testers assumed that the British weapons were in the campaign because you were testing them for Tunisia. I think we all wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt about this.
But now with the recent campaign level additions, I don’t think we can do that any longer. I think I can speak for many others when I say that with the addition of the Thompson M1A1 at level 29, we can no longer just assume that you will replace the British weapons we have now with the iconic US weapons that are obviously missing.
So just for the sake of clarity, are you planning on treating the other missing US Iconic weapons the same way that you have the Thompson M1A1? Will we have to grind even more levels just to be able to play with these weapons?
I must be honest when I say that if this is your plan then it appears to be a blatant money grab. So I ask again is it you intention to replace the British weapons we have in the tree currently with their correct American counterpart? Or do you intend to dole out these iconic weapons to us over an even greater grind than we already have?
I hope you will choose to speak honestly and trustfully concerning this. I for one will not be spending any more money on this game until we have an answer to this question and I hope others will join me in doing the same.
M1 garand
M1 Carbine
Mk 2 grenade
1911
Thompson which is in the game now
That’s it, the iconic WW2 US weapons are in the game. The .30 cal, .50 cal and so on aren’t iconic. Sure they are useful, but they aren’t “iconic.” Not when compared to the others.
Pretty much anyone that likes WW2 history can name the M1G,M1C, Pineapple, Colt and the thompson.
The rest is w.e, nice to have and see, not iconic.
I’m talking about the bazooka, the m1919 MG and the M60 Mortar primarily. I don’t count the Thompson at level 29 because it should have been released sooner instead of weapons like the Sten.
I realize that there is an earlier verion of the Thompson (M1928) and if it is their intention to substitute it into the tree then they need to clarify this.
No, Owl is right. All iconic weapons are in the game.
The weapons you named are just the ones you like to see in the game but I hardly call them iconic.
I enjoy that they put the weapons at the end of the campaign, gives me something to look forward to with the US.
And calling it a blatant money grab is just silly, terms like that get thrown around like its nothing when ppl are talking about a free to play game. You just want more stuff for free without making any effort for it. I think its time for a honest dialog with yourself in the mirror tbh.
Bazooka will probably be bomber level 2 (no bomber 2s yet) and I suspect the 1919 will be an unlock for the machine gunner 2 upgrade tree since it currently only has the 1918A2. They will add them, there is no reason not to. Germans will probably get the panzerschreck to counter bazooka as bomber 2
acordingly to acchivements i m level 26 with 60 hours ingame. with or without premium, leveling in this game is easy. as long as you do well ingame.
tommy at level 29 its just easy to get. you will do it in a month time. is that too much? or u think they will pump 1000 levels per campaing just to please u?..
grind should be as it is right now. keep us interested in the long run. work for stuff with the satisfaction of playing something they grant us for free to begin with.
want to level faster? perform better ingame, buy premium. or work patiently as f2p player for such “iconic weapon” lol.
people now a days just want everything granted without a grain of salt. i want it because i want it, yesterday please. work for it? nah bro. suport the devs you ask for stuff? nah bro, lets just call a f2p game p2w and demand getting everything with ease.
Please don’t ask them to do more stuff which doesn’t align with the timeline. The M9A1 went in production in Sept. '44. M1A1 or M9 would do the trick and also fit the D-Day date.
…hopefully all the people asking for the Bazooka are aware of it’s actual penetration (M6A1 not M6A3 in game) and muzzle velocity. If not there will be a lot of qQ
It would be the first true MMG in game and as such would come with the problem of being only triod mounted without a stock and pistol grip. With the mounting system the way it is I have nooooo interest at all in this gun. Untill mounting is working in a usefull manner this gun would be less useful than a 1911 Pistol. A johnson M1941 lmg would be the more exotic pick and not the standard US weapon but it would be at least a working gun under the current circumstances.
It is a free2play game and a monthlong grind is somehow intended. If every campaign is doable in 6 weeks even without premium, the lifespan of the game would be very limited or it would end up in a vicious circle of adding new, more and more content and this is limited by history.
Well for you. I bought acces to CBT so for me it’s not F2P you see. CBT was much better than what we got now. I wish it would’t become F2P and would cost 15-10 euros. It would have been a great game like that with out this monetization system.
The 1919A6 with the shoulder stock and pistol grip were first used in 1943. There is no historical or balance reason not to add it and I’m certain it will be
Do you want to talk about Panzerkampfwagen III ausf M or Bayerische Flugzeugwerke 109 F-4. Oh and do you want to talk about my favorite vechicle Schwerer Panzerspähwagen 7.5 cm Sonderkraftfahrzeug 234/4 Panzerabwehrkanonenwagen
Just kidding. I didn’t know that M1919 had 6 different modifications.
