By jingo you’re right, in fact I did some fact checking and I pulled this up from wiki which I found interesting.

Beginning about 1942, most British tank units were equipped with vehicles supplied from the United States, such as the Stuart light tank, the Lee (or the Grant variant thereof) and the Lee’s/Grant’s replacement, the Sherman. The Stuart tanks were the first to come in with the 8th Hussars, and were part of the force of the 1st Armoured Division and also were part of the 4th Armoured Brigade and used for Operation Crusader.

This is the part where I put my hands up and say ‘I was wrong’, I feel (some) shame however I like a good meme and I had fun making it. Now I’ll take myself outside and give myself a good kicking. Also I was busting my gums about having no Brits in the Noramndy campaign, so I’ll give myself a double kicking.

Thanks for putting me right, hope you’re well. :slightly_smiling_face:

Tempted to get this, but it’s Normandy, and I already have a Chafee and tech tree Jumbo.

I tried these both out using the ‘try a squad’ option, thats a great option Darkflow. It was more of a quick test than full review, here’s what i noticed though.

Firefly, quick to manouver, very meh hardly any gun depression, very good turret traverse, good gun elevation.

PZ iV quick to manouver, okayish gun depression, okayish turret traverse, okayish gun elevaton, overall reasonably solid.

They both seem kind of balanced against each other, would you rather have these 2 or a Premium Jumbo, after having a go in the Premium Jumbo, I’m not sure as its unbelivably good, even though the price is eye watering. But the Normandy Firefly/Panzer pack is on sale right now and includes 800 gold which makes it overall a pretty decent deal.

I’ve been meaning to ask: How does that lil tank fares on the battlefield? I’m a light tank enthusiast and I know that lil thing was historically well liked by the troops and it had a very decent gun for a tank it’s size.
I already have the Rhino (and it’s improved shells), so I’m uncertain if the Chaffee would be that much better for light tanking play

IMHO the Chafee is definatley better than the Rhino which i also have, you can take out bigger tanks if you can flank them without getting spotted but once a bigger tank brings its 75mm to bear you want to be bugging out. It’s quite fast so you can revese away from those pesky soldiers wielding there explosive packs and its turret traverse is very good, it’s reasonably agile too so it can get over rough terrain quite well. Is it my favourite tank, no but it’s my favourite ‘light’ tank. Definatley have a look at the ‘try out’ ability as you can have a go of it on the practice range for free. That said i love the M8 Scott with its anti infantry mortar cannon, but it’s kind of a one trick pony where the Chafee is much more rounded, plus its kind of rare which I like.

I have both premiums if you have any questions.

My! It’s like you are defining all the criterias I’m looking for in a tank! I fear I’ll have to buy it, there’s just no other option.
