i’ve won as allies. i don’t complain i push forward.
In all honesty that mission could have gone south easily and it would have if it wasn’t for a few deciding factors. Eisenhower himself prepared a speech in the event of failure.
So it should be difficult just not to the point of almost being impossible
That said the Allies enjoyed substantial air superiority and had exclusive use of airborne operations albeit they did go head to head with fallshrimjager who were fresh and highly trained veterans at the time. (Unlike in the defense of Berlin)

do you know what would improve my experience on d-day? actual team who knows how to play it. map is badly designed, specially cause of loads of noobs pick normandy for first campaign and dont know how rallies or flanking work. not to mention they dont have equipment or skill to take out panther/tiger camping on hill.
you can carry to some degree in most maps, but d-day is a map that one player cant carry on its own if on allies.
all these suggestions are about extremely late research vehicles the p47 is near the end of the research tree
i shouldn’t have to shill over an exorbanant amount of money just to have a fair fight

you can use p38 instead of p47. rockets destroy all tanks if you accurately hit them.
you can win them in event right now and they will be part of standard tech tree in few months.

P-47 is prime example but P-38 and A-20 should do the job as well.
