Customization feature for guns

So someone in my chat group have posted a picture of suggestion about increasing the firing rate of br3 semi-auto since they might encounter br5 ammothrower. But br3 also encounter br1 and br2. does this mean we should also buff br1 and br2 guns?
So here is my idea. We can have a “customization” feature replacing the current weapon upgrade in squad upgrade.
Every weapon will have a -1br when they are unlocked as they also have weakened stats. Like sky high recoil, decreased or unstable firing rate, bad iron sight, decreased damage or chance to jam after certain use (like a living german fired 5 mags with his g43 without getting killed)
and “customization” feature will improve every gun by improving and replacing their parts. And when the part loadout causevthe performance of the gun exceed certain figure they will have increased br.
And for every gun there could be experimental customization. Like auto conversation kit for semi that give them a firing rate a little lower then the firing rate of their “normal” version. Or something increase the damage of semi to bolt level with rocketing recoil. Or slow shooting mg with doubled firing rate but also have overheating.

The only customization feature that would work in this game would be magazines, maybe scopes and bipods too.

Most people forget these weapons from the second world war era were made to do exactly how they were. While I love the idea of customization I disagree that it should go beyond the weapons capabilities. Increasing the firerate of a weapon that originally in history only has a single fire rate would bring this game closer to being a COD. I’m entirely against it.
What I am in favor of is weapons that had the ability to change bipods, scopes and bayonets freely if they had be used that way in history.
