Well that’s probably true for every single faction in this game.
Except maybe the germans who can chill in BR 5.

Yeah because Soviets have most op weapons and tanks there. I can counter Axis easily with amazing PPS-43, superior WINchester, kill any tank of BR2-3 in 1 hit with BT-7A and T-28E. There are also M3 Medium with great anti-infantry capacity and average T-50. Since Soviet lmgs are weak at that BR i can use my Stalingrad’s Bredas plus you can spam those things
GAZ has BR1 and can destroy panzers from the side and ofc planes and infantry that is even behind wooden cover. You can use P-40E-1 and use it against both tanks, infantry and other planes. Soviets of BR2 have no weaknesses besides maybe the lack of AT launchers like GrB-39.
Axis has horrible gear at BR2-3 so nope you either play as BR5 or become a masochist that gets outgunned every single match.
Yeah, because wrecking soveit infantrs with Pz III N is something extremely hard. Especially since majority of soviet players are extremely clueless

As for the grenade launcher, the axis can also spam their own Kar 98k with GL, plus they have access to impact grenade. But yeah they do suffer in the SMG department compared to the soviets.

It’s a great tank (especially with Heat) but you can’t win games with it you need to capture points and there Axis can’t compete with their weak smgs and rifles.
Doesn’t matter, I quit quite lot of games on soviet BR2 purely because I rng decided I’ll get completely clueless team.
I really couldn’t bother more to trying carry 10 clueless people against full 10 real players team.
Plus it is very likely at least mp38 will be put on BR2 in near future. I think the whinning is completely unnecessary.
We, as community, already gave feedback Germans lack good smgs on BR2 in comparison to Soviets.

For me BR2 is having clueless humans but as Axis team while Soviets are tryharding like crazy with their op guns. it’s complete opposite of the BR5 where Axis dominates 24/7.
irrelevant it’s still way weaker when compared to pps-42/-43, same with beretta m1 and mp40 which should be both at BR2 and BR4 need to replace entire BR3 smg lineup. But i would take those mediocre guns any time of a week instead awful fnab
Tbh, I would argue Zk and mp35/1 could be both easily BR2 instead of BR4.
I still think BR2 for every faction is very chill. The biggest issues for me are GLs, not unbalanced smgs. GLs really should be on BR3 and higher.

I am enjoying BR II as Germans, its fun to use mainly bolt actions. That is because the SMG’s at II really suck, with the MP34 (o) at BR I being probably the best option.
I do not understand how people get kills with the FNAB, maybe you have to stay back and snipe with it. If the enemy is close at all I fire at him and the first bullet hits him, he turns around and shoots me with his bolt action before the second bullet even fires on full auto. Its deadly slow, but deadly for the person firing it. If it had a high damage output like the grease gun it would be worth it, but for now I only put it on tankers.
The MG13 is really the best choice at BR II for the assaulter role, even though its with an MG squad. Its basically a 25 round rapid fire German BAR. The Breda is total trash I would never bother, which I believe is historically accurate.
For vehicles I am finding Pz. III N and the Puma to be fairly useful, although you have to remember to keep moving in the Puma. All the Stukas are the best to dive bomb tanks, as long as the pilot knows where they are, the tanks are dead. The Romanian fighter/bomber is good and the BF109 from the Stalingrad campaign is also good.
I like the merge overall. I started with BR V and thought it was really great with tons of action everywhere, but I am glad I also branched out into BR II as well for more laid back, but still very fun bolt action dominated games.
Idk, but personally I really do enjoy Fnab. It’s one of mine’s guilty pleasure weapons.

You are right, I found out at night, that we have brain-dead soviet players on br2… also they rage quit way too often.
this is exactly what will kill enlisted if devs don’t start punishing people for deserting…

Yeah, they need to do lock line up thing that WT has. But firstly they really do need improve balance of this game before implementing any punishments for deserting.

yeah, the bots are extremely stupid I found out… the match I just lost, my AI bots kept getting in my way… and they ran around in the open while a dude kept sniping them with his kar98…
I don’t remember the bots being this stupid in matches lol. it really annoys the hell out of me that every time I want to change my squad formation to close, by default every match starts as wide… can devs give me an option to preset my squad formation to close by default or whatever someone might want…

speaking of balance, when I play I’m in br2 on the Soviets I am now facing a PZ4… the PZ4 in the br2 is the one with the 75-millimeter-long gun used late into the war. the thing is it shouldn’t be on br2, he can outgun me every time… but for me not so much… only weak spot on a 75mm PZ4 is his side, from the front, a t50 or BT7 cannot pen front armor of that… very unbalanced. but that wasn’t the worst of my concerns, every time I went around a corner in a tank, the enemy secretly placed a German anti-tank in the pile of rubble in the back, with all the dark-colored things it was impossible to see him, and my team was so brain dead they wouldn’t spot him for me, and then when I finally figured where he was located, I go to come around the corner ready to take out the anti-tank gun, and fucking presto the enemy pops out a pz4 from one of the other corners, making my chances of taking out the flak gun less likely. after that it was hopeless since my team wasn’t doing their part, and now half the team being bots who just sit in a single spot and don’t do the object. I’ve noticed the AI bots tend to not bother even prioritizing objectives…
As far as I know, the pz IV J is BR3 not BR2. But it’s true you’ll end up encountering it on daily basis with BR2 soviets.

I mean that guy is a br3 German now I’m not defending German but that like the only thing that can kill kv1 which is also br3
Anyway I have yet to see this chill br2 Soviet but I’m gonna make one br2 team tonight to see
I’ve yet to find a BR2 match that didn’t have Tiger or Panther in it

You are doing clearly something wrong if your supposed “BR2” line up is constantly facing BR4+
Yeah, they can be some MM related bugs. But I have never encountered BR4 and higher while playing BR2.
