It has been discussed some amount of time before, but is now much relevant again with the implementation of Enlisted for people using a ps4.
As we know, people using consoles have the option to, if they desire, turn crossplay “on/off”. This allows ps users and xbox users to play together… but it also allows play with pc users.
So far so good.
The problem comes for pc users: The crossplay option mentioned above IS NOT AVAILABLE for them, thus forcing them to endure crossplay with consoles users even if they dislike it.
The devs mentioned some time ago that crossplay was turned “off” between pc and consoles. Yet it’s fairly common to see in score board players with a gamepad icon beside their name. There’s alot of speculation about it. Some believe they are console users somehow able to play with pc users. Some believe it’s merely ppl having a game pad plugged in, some that’s it’s linked to some xbox account.
The hypothesis are numerous but one thing is certain; the devs never really explained what that icon means.
Wich brings me to the suggestion IF crossplay DOES exists between pc and consoles:
- Give the SAME right for pc users that console users possess, to CHOOSE to opt in/out of crossplay if they so desire.
