I think something has changed in the AI behaviour or “auto defensive positions”… I know lots of talk and changes during AI so they run into buildings and take cover… etc.
What is the worst behavior is during the last 20% of a it’s build a AI bot (same squad) will sit right ontop of where I am building, so the object doesnt get built and I ahve “Stop building” to direct my squad to a different location so i am continue the last few % of the build… in the process I have had my squads wiped out SOO many times… I hope you can understand. here is a solution:
When “Human” is building… Making AI (self squad) move around or just “away” from the object getting built. SOLVED.

I have to stop building, order my squad to get the hell out of the way, and then finish building.
Same here, its making me nuts, and even if you build without somebody in your way, its sure as h*** that one of them walks directly into the pre-building, crouching, waiting for you to take action.
Its just as frustrating as my former wife standing in front of the tv, yelling at me for some reason. And I dont need to be reminded of that crazy b****.
You guys realize that DEVs already changed that AI behaviour in the past just so they won’t block player’s constructions, and you know how it ended… all AI soldiers in like 10-15m radius were just running outside of houses/bunkers right under enemy fire, because someone used hammer once.
I think what we have now is much less annoying, just ordering your squad to move a bit is better than them running outside of cover like house, of course this could be better, but I’m worried they can’t find the golden middle for that.
“I Realize now” ahahah . Of course with improper code the guys would run away when using a hammer if they had some unfinished code.
I just find it 100% crazy that in the last few seconds of building a guy will sit right down in-front of my object.
Solution #2. Engineers would have a slightly “Larger” squad radius/box so squad (engineer buddies) would defend a larger area. … Or just never stand “in-front” of engineer “While Building”
ahahah . I was just playing and maaan. I was like 99% done in a critical build object moment and wow. .what a cluster fuk. All my super pumped up dudes just got shredded to bits running away like cowards from my engineers during my frantic gtfo moment of squad commanding. hahah what a laugh. Makes me so mad I had to flame all mofos endlessly I see.
Should be easy to set a code that makes the AI move BEHIND you as soon as the hammer starts working. Would be helpful too as soon as you take your rifle in ironsight without having a stupid bot blocking your LoF, standing literally in your barrel.
yeah a couple times I had it like where the object is 99% about to get done and then out of nowhere one of my grunts stands in front of me… whaat. … HALT… Stop production at 99%. Direct my retards to a area of death and then continue… While I get exposed and die.
Ultimate worst, is when a human kills your main guy, and you can’t switch to a guy fast enough as your whole squad gets killed one at time while you switch to the just shot at guy that like eating lead.
