Would it be possible to create a view for the driver that consists in taking the head out of the tank like the commander?

Probably yes, but probably not all hatchs works. Same for others. Also will need a bit edit soldier possition. Where exacly you want do it? I mean what tank with this feature you need?

M4A2 sherman but we can edit base_driver_cockpit for apply to all tanks ?

I’ll try to do something soon. And check if it work in multiplayer. IIRC I had some problems with hatches on modern tanks. But it was year ago and i just started check entities & vehicles code.

Sadly, but not. It’s a part of seats code, but not about cockpits.
