We propose a Premium squad by four of Costa Rican soldiers for the Allies armed with the burst-fire rifle Breda PG made in the 1930s, capable of a 4 rounds burst or semi-automatic action. The rate of fire would be about 600 rounds per minute and this firearm could also mount the Model 91 bayonet.

You know for some a nation that wasnt very good at winning during ww2 they sure as hell had some interesting and decent firearms.

Rather than that, how about Breda PG as Italian weapon for Tunisia campaign.
iirc, Breda PG is already in game files, so I suspect them as future weapon for the Italian.
For the most part, from what I read, it had a lot to do with a serious shortage of NCOs. The Italian military was still very much geared towards set piece battles that just wasn’t able to keep up with the faster pace of the Second World War.
I did a quick research and Costa Rica did participate in the war, I think it would have sense.
