All militaries taught their soldiers to use handguns with 1 hand, now there may have been instances in the field where individual soldiers may have came up with their own ways to hold a pistol 2 handed such as the T-Cup grip. But in reality from before WW1 all the way to Vietnam, soldiers were taught the 1 handed method so I think we should have that replicated in game.
