Cool/stupid MG-34 fact

One cool feature that the MG-34 had IRL that is not in game, is that it was select fire.
It had a double crescent trigger (as shown) which allowed it to change fire modes by the gunner moving their finger.

E = “Einzelfeuer” or semi-auto
D = “Dauerfeuer” or full-auto

I loved using the Mg-34 on single fire as a sniper rifle in Red orchestra :stuck_out_tongue: (at least I think it was red orchestra)

I vaguely remember it being ranging round or something.

Im Jelly

I don’t have the opportunity to have a go of stuff like this In my country.

I have to settle for owning SMLE IIIS and Mausers (bolt action). Maybe 1 day Ill take a holiday to America just to fire off all these weapons on a range somewhere.

Avoid California if you want a good range.

I like how the US is “I want to go shoot some stuff, guess I’ll go to the US.”

If there was one thing missing, it was definitely a semi-auto function to the MG-34 in this game. And a full-auto function on the FG-42. :thinking: Kinda weird how a bunch of SMGs get this functionality, but LMGs get the full-auto or nothing treatment (FG-42s are pretty much a hybrid LMG/Battle Rifle)

You can change the fg 42 to full auto, the default key I belive is H

I almost had oportunity to fire both MG42 and MG34. Almost. But shooting range said fuck you because we (me+friends) were 5min late.
Me sad.

At least I hope to own kar one day. Currently I don’t have any place to store guns so this has to wait.

Single fire mode would make this gun still miss 80 % of its shots no matter how good you aim.

Deviation is aids.

I’m Jellier.

Here in Canada, “thanks” to our puppet clown pm, firearms are gradually being phased out, I mean sport and collection ones…

(Meanwhile, he takes no action against the natives and their criminal weapons importation ring, cause it’s supposedly offensive…)

:pensive:

Ouch…no hunting? yaaaawn

at least you are closer for a holiday to America :stuck_out_tongue:

There is only one firemod that deserves my respect.

We can still hunt using regular hunting rifles and shotguns… but even those are becoming heavily restricted :frowning:

For example, semi auto shotties for duck hunting, not sure if it’s a no no yet, but certainly will soon.

I meant more like sports rifle such as AR-15, or collection handguns, like 1911. Forget those in Canada. It’s not enough rainbow coloured and too offensive for the pm and his woke party… :pensive:

Hell. Even airsoft guns looking like real life arms are now banned… my old m4 pea shooter probably gained value because of this thought.

haha we lost all that stuff 20 years ago. No semi Auto center fires period. All SKSs, AKS and SLRs the Vietnam Vets brought home got burned. My dad had to chuck his M1 carbine and Mini 14 (was a really sad day) :frowning: . Gotta jump through hoops yearly to even have a semi auto rimfire (only available to primary producers). 10 round mag max 22 calibre.

No Sir, we have got real good with the bolties, lever actions and pumpys :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s… heartbreaking.
Sks is such a fun civilian rifle. Knew someone who had one… ofc they’re prohibited nowadays :unamused:

But yes.

Bolties are the way.
