It makes me laugh a lot how they complain about a captured weapon, but they don’t complain about those two aberrations invented in Japan called Ho-ri and Ho-Ri production and I’ve even seen some mentally ill people asking for the O-I haha that did not even come out of the paper, this is not World of Tanks where tanks are taken from cereal boxes, if they are going to complain about captured weapons (a common practice by the Germans who even modified the PPSh-41 to use 9mm magazines from the MP-40 or the Finns with the KP-44 which is a copy of the PPS-42 / 43) they should also complain about the invented crap that is used to fill gaps, in the war it happened and on the side of the “powerful Germans” who had to use captured weapons to replace those they did not have oh, they also complain about the Pz T35 (t) it is not a German tank it is captured from Czechoslovakia, if we base ourselves on that logic The Pz T35, the PbZ 35 (t), the Mp-717 (r), the Mp-41 (r), the Mas-36, Mas-38, ZK-383, ZB-26 etc, should not be in the German tree of the game, because they are captured, it is illogical
Fair argument.
Note that the panzer 35s for example were used widely which is different to Americans with an Ofrenrohr which wasnt used at all.
Regarding the Mas 36, ZB 26 and so forth. I hear you, personally Id much prefer Free French and Free Czech squads in the Allied tree and give them those weapons (or Greek Army which used the ZB26 and fought alongside UK & Commonwealth forces).
But DF has given them to Germany. I would encourage you to consider that those weapons are ‘unique’ to Germany in Enlisted.
Now that is very different to giving every single faction an Ofrenrohr ‘cause balance’
or everyone gets a Tommy gun
or Japan gets an M2 Carbine which the Americans themselves only used in the last battles of the Pacific War (it is more a Korean War weapon). Japan capturing and modifying an M2 Carbine just didnt happen. They wouldnt have had time.
Each faction has unique and interesting weapons. If every faction gets each other’s weapons cause ‘balance’ or ‘oh this one weapon was captured and tested once’, it ruins the point of factions at all.
I would also once again note the ridiculous situation of USSR having various USA-UK tech ‘cause Lend-Lease’, yet that same tech is missing from the Allied tech tree even though they were the ones that invented and predominately used said tech.
Id understand the P39 being focused to USSR because the Soviet Air Force prefered them and had more success. But the Mathilda tank? The Lewis gun? CMON… It was my countrymen Australians who used Lewis guns the most, likewise Australia, UK and other Commonwealth countries the Mathilda tank.
Perhaps worst of all is the M3 Halftrack, one of the most iconic American vehicles of the war, yet absent from the USA tech tree. I have seen many pictures and accounts of USSR using lend lease Studebaker trucks, but none of them using M3 halftrack so far.
There are many ways to play “assymetric” games - they have been around since the Prussians got a General Staff.
If they don’t mind adding Su 9 which is also post war, I see no reason Not to add stuff like the M20
I
But I think german ppsh is fine, mainly bcs it sucks
are any of them multi player fps
Multi player certainly, not FPS tho… can’t see any reason why some of the systems wouldn’t work.
Because with an rts cough guess you control multiple units, have an economy, and don’t have an entire infantry unit one shoted by a tank. Multiplayer rts usually means one on one more like chess. Making a lot of assumptions but would love to be proven wrong. Also rts are top down viewing giving you gifs eye.
