It could be changed so that when one team loses enough tickets, the objective is automatically taken by the other team. Kind of like in @Serpiko82 's post.
In my experience, victory conditions in confrontation mode are “only” misleading.
You’re led to think that cap zones are the main objective and tickets are a secondary victory condition, while actually in most matches it’s the othey way around.
This, in my opinion, is due to the fact that when the frontline shifts, the team losing ground is now in a great advantage when it comes to capturing the next point. They can immediately spawn there or very close (also using previously placed rally points) and immediately entrench, while the other team has to run forward a noticeable distance and supposedly build new forward rallies.
As a result, unless one team is so much stronger that it can keep momentum and cap multiple points in a row, matches tend to become a ping-pong affair between two cap zones, with each team capping one alternatively, so that the outcome ends up being decided by tickets more often than not.
This is one of the worst confrontation maps alongside Werbig Station(not much options for flanking due to being a lazy modification from the armored train map). I haven’t played the other new confrontation maps yet except Birch Grove where it was a total steamroll.
This mode itself is either it ends quickly with a steamroll or a stalemate that takes longer than a regular invasion to finish but I wish we get more than 5 caps for a change like make it something like 8 or 10 to spice things up for the mode a bit.
The ticket system is work as intended . If you attack ruthlessly you may lose because of lack of ticket. This is one of the way of winning the match, dev already say it before.
Yeah I don’t quite know what the win conditions are for this. I had a game where we took 4/5 points, the enemy team hit 0 tickets just before we did, but the game timed out and I got the defeat screen. I have no idea how it was a loss since we held the most points AND they reached 0 tickets first. Neither team was wiped, the battle timer just reached 0.
Why? It’s not my favorite either, but it usually gives long and hard battles.
Also it’s more difficult, challenging and unpredictable.
When you think you’ve got an easy win, suddenly they fight back hard and you lose a point, you need to fight even harder!
I like a good fight.
It has same objective, same actual combat area.
This mod still gives a same experience, nothing special.
there is no totally different mod in this game yet.
