Confrontation is still kinda stupid at times

So, my understanding is the last man standing on a side wins. Except, I imagine there are times when someone on both sides is still alive and then…??

Is it one side has 10 guys and the other has 9, so the side with more wins? Is it the cap that is currently capping wins if both sides have living soldiers?

In any case, just left a match, where we had at least 4-5 guys that I could see, I couldn’t find any of the enemy, we had captured 3 spots, and were working on the 4th, we had three people with more score/kills than anyone on their team - yet they win the match.

That’s frickin stupid. Find a place to hide with a few squads and win when both sides are out of tickets?

Six months I’ve played this game and STILL discovering stupid new things that allow you to lose a match. And I’m not even sure what it is in this case. I guess it’s having more people alive at the end of the match.

One of them shoots the other.

I mean, who wins the match. It doesn’t keep going forever if people on both sides are alive. (I almost wish it did…)

The last one to survive on objective.

But it does, as long as there’s the same number of bodies from both teams on objective. There’s no countdown of 60 seconds for both teams.

Obviously, such state of things never lasts for long.

You need to dominate the objective for countdown of 60 seconds for enemy team to start.

And this works for invasion literally in same manner.

In an invasion, you can take the objective as an attacker even if you already have zero ticket reserves.
But logically, that state of things won’t last forever. Because a defending team can spawn indefinitely. That’s why attackers usually lose the fight over objective once they lose all their ticket reserves.

When a team spawn ticket is depleted a 1 minute countdown timer for that team will start. The countdown timer can be stop by having more men than the enemy on the current capture point. If the enemy team regain the number advantage of men on the capture point the 1 minute countdown timer will be restarted for your team again.

There are 3 win conditions:

  • The enemy team cannot spawn anymore squad and have no soldiers left in the match
  • Inducing a 1 minute countdown for the enemy team by depleting all of their spawn ticket, and having that countdown reach 0
  • Capturing the enemy team’s final objective

Your screenshot shows that at the moment the game ended your team had 5 people alive while the enemy team had 9 alive. They must’ve had more people on the current capture point to trigger your team count down timer.

I take it you mean you have to have more soldiers on the objective in order to win the match (confirmed by the post after yours).

This is true on Confrontation as well, if the game is close with only a few tickets left, the defender of has a tactical advantage of whichever objective. Example: the above mentioned game. We had more kills, we were fighting over the fourth objective (from my point of view) and went into that objective with probably 3-4 times the tickets of the defenders.

Meh, I can see why people hate this type of battle. I like the concept, but I can’t stand the way a victory is determined.

That makes sense - thanks for clarifying that.

Technically 7, but they had 9 (and I imagine it’s based on the squad size as well, but who knows?).
