Well they searched for field marshals or something quite similar and the choice was good:
Erwin Rommel.
No other field marshal got more respect than him. The choice of the devs to delete him in the last moment was, I think, because of Twitch and stuff as Rommel can’t be portrayed on such Platforms. Yes you can blurr him out but accidents will happen and Enlisted will suffer from it.
As much as I hate to don’t use a German field marshal as a portray I kind of understand the reasons behind it. I would have preferred that they did them homework correctly before announcing such things. If only allied marshals would have been announced with a little side note:
