only YOU can see the changed names anyways - as such naming your soldiers is a very pointless thing to do - outside of organizing your soldiers maybe, but such ability should then be free to begin with.

Does it harm anyone? no
So why remove it?
If you wanna remove call signs, why not remove all the customization, appearance, decals etc and make this game soulless?
I just wanna remove them from the fucking gambling crates and reward list, I have hundreds more than I could ever possibly use already.

Then the real question is to increase chance for getting other âusefulâ stuffs.
Crate from other games or lottery sometimes you win some jackpot but you can also get nothing. (âTry againâ type of stuff)
In enlisted lootbox, those call signs tickets act as âtry againâ.
No because a try again option is a âspin againâ option, thats the silver drops.
The call signs are the âyou get nothing lmaoâ option.
Like I always need appearance orders, so merging them with the orders is fine by me.
As for the moment though, they are a useless token that I would take literally anything over getting.

Yeah thatâs the whole point of call sign order.
Instead of giving you nothing, you get call sign order.
The lootbox cannot be only filled with good stuff, there have to be something not good as well.
Well, the point is that giving nicknames to soldiers should be for free.
Callsign orders are simply bad and unnecessary design.

I disagree. Although they dont 'DO" anything tangible, they are fun.
My squadmate made a bunch of funny names like Brad Wurst, Max Illa, Stan Dupp and Stan Down.
Me, I named all my soldiers after WWII Australian Victoria Cross recipients (our highest military medal for valor)
You could say the same about the old Gold Order soldiers which were also named after real veterans, apparently they are supposed to be âspecialâ but I dont find them any better and the Sniper I bought had his backpack and sidearm slot locked anyway so was a complete waste of a GO.

As in Enlisted had âJohn Smithâ.
You called him âJames Francis Ryanâ but later you decide you actually wanna call him âAudie Murphyâ for example.

Somewhat true, but not 100% true: Sometimes, you can find a more functional, secondary use for something other than its originally intended purpose.
For example, instead of using call signs to give your soldiers a new name⌠use it to identify the specialized weapons being carried by that soldier. If you have a 9-person infantry squad who all have someone different weapon loadouts re grenades and explosives, in the heat of the moment you may not be able to quickly identify the correct soldier to choose for the current battlefield conditionsâespecially if some of them have been killed off. Thus, you could list the specific grenades and explosives for each soldier using the âcall signâ option. A quick glance where the name would normally be found quickly gives you the information you need.
Is this a perfect solution for the use of call signs? Absolutely not, and most of you will probably never use this; however, maybe this will inspire some of you you to come up with another use for call signs. If you do, Iâd like to know what it is. I might be able to use it myself.
Consider this information as TOP SECRET, and burn the post after you read it! 
I am happy if they would merge callsign orders with appearance orders and if I can use that new one for both. 
I wish I could sell them even if for 1 silver each.
At least silver I will use, call sign/appearance orders i wonât use and they just pile up.
