Ok so sandbags need a complete rework, and i have some great ideas that would greatly improve the effectiveness and usefulness of sandbags.
So first we need a horizontal sandbag wall this would be great for boarding up windows, Windows should have preselected build points that completely seal the window like battlefield.
Also sandbags should snap together and stack up as well like Battlefield.
Addition from GuardianReaper0: Windowed sandbag walls.
Well that’s everything, this should be a easy addition.
The snapping sandbags I can agree with, as it would greatly help. In addition you hold it below to change it to a windowed sandbag wall.
The issue I have with the horizontal wall idea is it would encourage players to completely block ALL windows, rather than create raised shooting positions in them. Fully blocking it could be obtained through snapping 2 together, but that would reduce the overall amount that players have, likely making them not fully block them.
I mention this because so many run-and-gun players already dislike it when windows are blocked for defense purposes.
I agree with you, but I was referring to the “run-and-gun” players on DEFENSE. The ones that should be making use of the cover. Instead however, they are breaking down fortifications at the front door/ front side of the building (the side where the enemy comes from) because it restricts their ability to run through the middle of the point to fight the enemies. Instead of flanking from the side to launch a counter-attack, or making use of engineered choke points, they are opening gaping holes in defenses because they are impatient.
in 2021 you could just lay the sand bag and then move mouse up to fill window with sand bag, it def not working now.
they almost did, i remember the towering sand bag skyscrapers, people putting together in games, like a stairway to hanger roofs etc.
Can understand them changing that mechanic, but the windowed sand bags, i do miss that, i personally don’t like the gap at top of window, that’s big enough for a Gren to get through anyway.
