Because ,
1st , UX is bad bcz we need to see in left corner and it mostly blends with terrain
2nd , it will be more useful and frnds will be able to give you the callouts without marking

It was there when i saw shroud’s stream !
If you need to use the compass, you’re not tagging using V.
Be a useful player and tag targets for the entire team, rather than calling it out to your friends over voice chat on some bearing.

okay but dont you think then that compass is useless ?? like nobody is gonna to look there ! but what if i m behind the some building and not able to mark then ?? shall i die for the mark ?? and as i said then whats the use for compass ? for showcase ??
It’s there for the people who want to use it.
The fact is that you don’t need to use it, because we have an extremely useful tagging system in the game. You can also open the map with M, press Alt and then just double-click on where you think they are.

I think it should be as you said. In most of SP and MP games, its like this. For example-Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I didnt noticed it is here, i thought it isnt even there.
then why are you giving mini- map too? just press m then ! remove minimap also to give more " realistic war " exp ! and press M to open Map
exactly nobody is noticing that there is compass too !!
- Everyone looks in sky for compass , almost every game is having that thing
- This compass is not user frndly
- Not hidden some corner

You can tag a position on the map screen? Interesting. If there is a tooltip that says you can, then it needs to be clearer. I already have some 15 hours into the game, or something like that, and I never knew. Good to know.
I’m always yelling at teammates to use their markers. Telling people they can use it while downed and such. When I get people to actually use the system, my team tends to win, every time.

You misunderstand. Look at what I was replying to. You can hold Alt while on the map mode to get your cursor back, and then can double click on the map as well as using “V”. I didn’t know about the direct map marking. I checked, and there is a “Press Alt to interact with map” tip at the bottom of the map while the map is up. It’s so out of the way and out of player’s attention area, which is usually where they are and their nearest surroundings, that I never noticed it.
Tagging with this method produces a yellow marker.
