Commendations saying thanks for good teamplay

Struck me today, and it has happened a few times recently, that I’d like to say thanks to some teammates but didn’t get chance to type it in chat before the game ended - we can ‘complain’ after so why not let us commend for good teamplay- a bit like HLL and possibly they get an XP bonus maybe , maybe limit it to each player allowed to commend one other player per game - also like HLL, most players probably won’t bother using it - but it would be nice to be able to say thanks and add a small reward for teamplay this way IMHO.

Wait… Are you telling me that you want to implement something which could actually motivate people to play as a team? Why would you?! Dont you prefer 6 sniper squads in the woods ?

Wait, do you really think that players will be more motivated to teamplay because of some sort of “headpats” on the end of match?

Im sorry, but that seems to be rather naive.
Also, I would take skilled sniper taking out MGs or other important targets such as specialists (flamethrowers/gunners…) over SMG monkey, that runs into the crowd like a wannabe terrorist only to die miserably, any time. (Unless entire team is composed from these, but that is not likely to happen)

Maybe, maybe not but it´ll be a start.
agreeing for the role of a sniper squad, however: ever witnessed a match with sniper 5-6 squads?

No, and I doubt you did…

Random new players sitting in the back with troopers armed with non-scoped mosin carbine does not count as sniper.

I did, moscow campaign. Sniper camouflage is quite unique.

Then you had to be pretty unlucky.
I wouldn´t take it as standard. Most of the times, these “snipers” are not really dedicated squads/classes.

Completely off topic, regarding your name: awesome ice cream and my favorite back than!

if those headpats are made very clear that you get a small xp bonus, maybe 1 - 2 k if you get a commendation in a match and the monkey brain playerbase understands this, then yes

A pitty that it doesnt exist anymore. Thought I keep the legacy eversince it vanished. hahaha

That would make a potentially a little bit easier grind, and we can´t have that in gaijin published games, can we?

Much appreciated, Ed has a place in my heart too. Right now my hate hate on Langnese rises again! xD

I want my team to be more aggressive and full of hate so that they kill more enemies.

This is not a gay Chatroom.

No there’s no naivety at all - Just saying I’d like to thank people who help the team, and why not reward them in some way? but, hey, if you didn’t want to, then you wouldn’t have to.

Typical macho BS. I think you’ll find that gay people can be just as aggressive as straight people.

Cheers man. I’m just thinking “damn, I am good in game, nobody else ever said ‘well done’ aside from gg”

I don´t understand, I didn´t even aim that reply on you.
Also, you are not even implying that there can be a connection between “headpats” and motivation to play as a team more, unlike the user I was replying to.

So to make things clear, it is nice thing to have to say thanks to somebody who was especially useful to you in the game, but it is not a factor that would motivate people to play as a team more (as EdVanSchleck was hoping to).

Not actually knowing the ID of the random player you just cleared the two floors of a building with in a textbook yet unplanned bit of two-handed teamwork is a bit of a barrier to this.

All I do is try and type “Good job” or similar in chat and hope that random guy knows it was aimed at them. I don’t need an XP reward for teamwork - good team play is part of the gaming buzz (and is noticeable when it’s absent).

Sure. Sounds usefull and not like a satire. Have a good example.
