i suggest that we could have command posts, these would be serving the purpose of decreasing the deployment time and report other useful stuff, like the movement direction of the enemy.
(i am, aware that the movement direction is already shown on the map, but imo thats just no fun, i would want to maintain the ability to know where the enemy is moving, instead of just relying on map)
but to make it balanced the command post should be like a box in a certain part of the map, you will have to find it and the engineer will just have to whack it with a hammer until its built, the idea behind this, is that it would prevent a bunch of engineers plopping down millions of command posts and get 1 second deployment time.
the enemy can blow these up using explosion/TNT packs, anything else wouldn’t work. of course if its blown up it can be repaired like a tank. its just that it should take longer to repair than to build it from its box phase.
in online games, giving someone an ordering rights is always tricky. people will not want to listen
i suggest collective agreement
we need a general battle planning time before sessions with communication.
like: “x player and y player will attack from left flanks to objectives with their smg and rifleman squads, z player will clean the middle street with its vehicles”
or “the players who have close range squads will cover the objective from middle of the front, the ones who have shock troops (falme troopers) will attack enemy from one flank to stun main enemy thrust”
hll using continuous voice chat.
enlisted can have battle planning before skirmish
but sticking to plan rigidly also can be problematic
experinced players can act situationally according to conditions; but we can not do anything for newbies

i didnt say it should give orders, command posts should rather inform the team more. provide approximate attacking direction of the enemy, and so on
