Command AI soldiers

I think AI soldiers could be a lot more usefull w/ some simple orders. Players should be able to command the squad to CROUCH, PRONE, SUPRESIVE FIRE (marking a spot for the AI to shoot for 5 seconds or something like that), THROW A GRENADE/SMOKE TO A POSITION, DIG, HEAL OTHER PLAYERS. I think the those options would really add to the gameplay, rigth now AI are just extra lives for the real player. Being able to command specific orders to them would create the feeling of being the squad leader. ty

Some of these things are already automatic.

  • If you crouch, they will crouch. Same with prone.
  • You can give them orders to heal you and give you ammo if they have the supplies.
  • As far as healing other players, medics already have a mechanic that they will heal nearby teammates.

The crouch and prone really need to also be a trigger/button feature. Iā€™m aware they try to mimic your stance, but there are times when u need to stand and still need them prone or sometimes they are sloppy and delayed when stance mimicking.
