maybe even big ammo pouch and big grenade pouch with the downside of blocking the use of the inventory slot, so no medkit
I like that idea, currently small grenade/ammo/whatever pouches are basically useless and that would be a cool way to make them have a logical and balanced purpose. Probably shouldn’t block the med kit tho
the blocking med kit part is to try and balance it out, but some other form of balancing is fine too
I think it’d be balanced as is if you had to wait until tier II research to use it
Thank you for your post, I fully agree.
Its very annoying that you basically have to choose between more ammo or more grenades. It sounds okay on paper, but in game it’s silly. Like some submachine guns and rifles just dont have enough default ammunition.
I dont know exact specifics but to my knowledge the average rifleman in WWII wouldve had more than 20 rounds for a rifle and I would guess at least a couple grenades (not just one).
I understand that a large ammo pouch AND large grenade pouch might be considered OP.
I think perhaps small ammo and large grenade (3 grenades total) or large ammo and small grenade. (2 grenades total).
Alternatively perhaps soldiers should be given 2 grenades as default and large grenade pouch is 4 grenades. That would make it less necessary for players to have a large grenade pouch (since ammunition is the main thing we need)
I think that people having large amounts of grenades without having to have a loadout built specifically for it would be horrible to play against. It’d be more realistic but would suck
Fair, which is why Id argue 2 grenades default for everyone is reasonable.
Four grenades would probably be overkill, my point being the majority of players would focus on ammunition which is more important and useful anyway.
I do believe it is an issue that the current system is purely ammo OR grenades when any player (and for the game to have any sense of realism) wants both. As I said that doesnt mean large ammo pouch AND large grenade, just maybe small ammo and small grenade or something.
