Combat Engineer’s would be even more efficient if they could defuse Anti - Personnel mines & Anti - Tank mines. I know it might not sound great but just a suggestion. In WW2 they were also known as Pioneers or Sappers. Combat engineers used tools like mine detectors, probing rods, or even their hands to locate and carefully disarm anti-tank mines. While infantry or tank crews might occasionally help identify mines or avoid them, the delicate and highly technical task of defusing them was generally left to engineers because of the skill and expertise required.
I would just give them an optional perk that highlights enemy mines. No need to defuse mines if you can just shoot them

It should be made properly. There should be mines detector introduced (including headset), which could be used by engineers. It could be put in the existing backpack slot. Detection should be based on sound. When approaching to the mine engineer with detector on would mark the mine with standard key, what would made it inactive for a moment and let him to start defusing. Disarming of AP mines should be superfast and AT just slightly longer. For all this risk our brave engineer got to be rewarded, 50 exp. points for AP, 100 for AT mine? Why defusing at all? Cause shooting at mine, especialy AT which is often placed in combo with AP indoors kills everyone around. Of course shooting at mines still would be posible, but not on those marked and being defused ( few mines placed in some small radius should be marked and disarmed at once).
